My nan is better at beating the PR cycle than us and she's been dead for 10 years.

Why are people so down on Amorim? His Sporting side that lost their three best players, Nunes, Paulinha and Porro last year but they still knocked Arsenal out of Europe and they beat us in the CL.

Amormin 16/1

Fill your boots

I got him at 25/1, but that’s about the only positive I can see. I agree with other posts, we need an absolute reboot, and Amorim (much like Glasner) just feels like more of the same, truly will be Nuno mk2. Massively underwhelming and not something I can get behind

I would prefer Rodgers to Potter and Amorim

I’m still hoping this prompts Levy to go back to Nagelsmann and bend over for him. Getting a good DoF and Nagelsmann is the only outcome where I’d now actually feel confident we were aiming to get back on the front foot. Maybe Gallardo, but I just cannot see that happening.
Anyone else just feels a gap filler till we go through this all over again before season 23/24 is out.

Feels like a 2am minesweep in a night club to avoid going home alone, and we all know the quality you find at that point. All the quality options have either been picked up by someone who actually put the work in and paid them some attention earlier in the night. Or they’ve decided to stay on their own because they don’t want to be someone’s backup. Really does sum our manager chase up.

Still positive appointments
Nagelsmann - but Levy is going to have to massively back track.
Gallardo - would have to come right out of left field, it’s been quiet on him.

Jury’s out appointment - Enrique

Potter or Rodgers are starting to look a bit more appealing when the alternatives are Amorim or Glasner.
FWIW, I hope I’m wrong and Levy goes back for Nagelsmann as he did with Conte, but unfortunately I actually think it’ll be Potter or Rodgers and the club will spin the Premier League experience line. Previously I would have put Mason in the same bracket, but I feel his interim results have been so underwhelming that it would be a PR disaster, even allowing for the ‘he’s one of our own’ rhetoric.

Worst bit is, Slot felt like it was close, so at least we could look ahead. This feels like it puts us back another 3-4 weeks to an appointment.

In early May, the club got the line out that they have completed their due diligence and we’re ready to ramp up the process.

Since then, most of the names mentioned after we had completed our due diligence have ruled themselves out of the job. A mess.

We’ll appoint Mason and continue to drift further and further into mediocrity.

If Levy gives the job to Mason then he really is clueless when it comes to football matters. No way should he be anywhere near the conversation let alone getting the job.

I’d never heard of Slot before we were linked but I can’t believe how disappointed I am hearing he doesn’t want us🥺

All this fuckwittery just gives other clubs more leverage.
Imagine being the (insert club) director seeing Slot has turned us down and chosen to sign a new contract at Feyenoord. Their not even the top job in a lower standard league.
They've also seen us fuck about with Nagelsmann and now know we're desperate.
They will not do any deal, it will be their price or nothing.
We absolutely love to do things the hard way.
I wouldn't be surprised if a decent percentage of the fan base doesn't renew their season tickets and the club probably thinks it wouldn't be a problem because of the waiting list. But, those on the waiting list have got to have both the financial means and want the season ticket. I wouldn't say its a guarantee

They averaged the 3rd lowest possession in our group with 45.9%, just above Frankfurt, while we had 49% and Marseille 59%.

Another low possession, reactive 343 manager who’s team look better aesthetically because they have smaller, nimble players but who will have the exact same structural issues Conte had.

“Hmm, I’ve got the chance to move to a huge club, in the top 10 richest in world football, who are offering me a huge amount of money to play in the biggest league in the world - I know, I’ll use that offer to slightly increase my existing low wage at my current club which is about to be stripped of its best players, and see if I can win one of the most limited leagues in Europe again!”

I mean it’s possible, but…

Also, turns out I need to offer @Ginola+Tonic an apology because it turns out he was absolutely bang on!

Who would've thought.

So Daniel has passed on a unifying figure which would’ve immediately injected the club with positivity only to let him go to one of our hated rivals. And then also failed to hire a free agent and a coach from the Dutch league. What will it take for him to accept that he’s not the man to be making these decisions. It’s just embarrassment after embarrassment with no signs of him developing any sense of self awareness. Why hadn’t he spent this time looking for a DoF for them to lead the manager search and then fucking off into the background. Realistically this ends with Brendan or Mason in the hot seat because no manager worth their salt will touch him with a barge pole.
