give Nuno long enough he would have got us in a relegation fight. Fans should give a manager 6 months or so to show what brand of football they want to play and if it’s compatible like what we saw with Poch or Redknapp but if it’s clear they are taking us one direction and that being down just ‘’backing the manager’’ will not lead to anything positive.

the club has now in effect made it look like any manager is 4-5th choice by their actions and so I do feel sorry for whoever we hire but on the plus side they will be well compensated.

Yes I should have put in brackets that I’m assuming they’re trying to play attacking or good football.

I used to actually believe that Levy had a plan in place. If a manager was sacked, I was fairly confident that Levy knew who the replacement would be . Now he just seems to sack people with no clue about who to hire next. Really do believe that the new stadium has made him completely take his eye off the ball on footballing matters, it’s like he’s consumed with the stadium.

Wake me up when we hire someone. This thread is going round in circles. Same stuff every day.

Every manager out there is a risk. Yes, even Nagelsmann. Poch would have been a risk. Slot would have been a risk. Ange will be a risk. Rodgers a risk. De Zerbi a risk. Potter a risk.

There is guarantee one way or the other on whether someone will be a success and another failure.

The “it just has to be JN otherwise fuck this” crowd … you realise it’s just not going to be JN. So what’s your fuck this option? Are you out?

no one is out, Spurs is a lifetime.

We will just be a very angry, very pessimistic and very cynical fanbase for the foreseeable future. The Everton of the south.

Do we even need a manager really?

This is our chance to be at the vanguard of a brand new approach to football where we pick the team through a tombola, the formation based on a mystic Octopus and make substitutions based on who has the best/worst hair.

If they need a name for manager for admin purposes then my vote goes for Manager McManagerface

COYS!

I’m very much on the fence on whether to renew. I appreciate in the big scheme of things there will be a new lemming in my place and this is not a protest. But for me that’s me being “out”. I’ve had my ST for half my 20s and all my 30s and it’s a big deal. It was a genuine question I posed, I wasn’t trying to be snarky (just in case it came across that way).

Guess that I’m just sad it’s come to this and wondered what else people were thinking as a result of being managerless and seemingly rudderless.

Of course it is but he has been managing in some capacity for 20 odd years? He could have moved to Europe and worked his way up?
Maybe, but there’s also family and finance to consider. It’s all very well saying go to the Belgian third division and work your way up but he probably couldn’t support his family in the way managing an Australian top flight club would pay.

Literally nothing concrete here, or anything any of us couldn't have written, but for what it's worth, this is from Galahad.

Discussions with reps of option #2 continue.
Discussions with reps of option #3 opened.
The former quite a bit ahead of the latter as they had started (in general outline) before #1's decision became public.
If all goes well with #2, expect to hear specifics soon.
We were contacted by associates of someone who's already pied us - can't see us giving them that opportunity again.

I’m not really in that crowd, but there’s no way out whatever happens. At the moment I don’t think the eventual manager/head coach hire is the most important thing. I want to see what happens around the DoF - I want to see the emergence of some kind of plan/strategy/vision otherwise it’s just rinse-repeat.

If it turns out we aren’t waking up to the reality and are going to continue with our current headlessness with another Summer of Nuno type search/appointment then I’ll step back a bit. I’m not renewing my membership, I probably won’t bother watching any games elsewhere. I’ll still check the results because I will never not be Spurs. I’m just not sure I have the energy to invest much emotionally in a continued shit-show.

This will, of course, achieve fuck all in terms of effecting change but at least I won’t feel like I’m wasting time and money supporting the failing leadership of our club.

I will never be able to completely give spurs up but I have become less "invested" in the club the last 3-4 years. For the first time ever I have skipped watching us play lately and all jokes aside I actually enjoyed the day more than I would have if I watched the game. I am really less engaged with the club, stopped following on social media, cancelled my 2 Hotspur memberships etc if I go to a game in future I won't spend any money in stadium or on merch.
To me that's where it is & can't see it changing while current board is in place

I've never been less interested.

I won't watch the game today even though all I have to do is flick on the tele. I'll mow the lawn instead it's more entertaining.

It won't be JN now though. It may well be by Christmas though when we sack whatever clown we put in charge this summer.

At a guess option #2 is Amorim (as we had ITK a week or so back saying we had talked to him) and Ange is option #3.

As for the last one, if you’re feeling optimistic you think it’s Nagelsnann and if pessimistic it’s Potter (As supposedly we wanted him in the past but he turned us down I think?)
