Literally nothing concrete here, or anything any of us couldn't have written, but for what it's worth, this is from Galahad.

Discussions with reps of option #2 continue.
Discussions with reps of option #3 opened.
The former quite a bit ahead of the latter as they had started (in general outline) before #1's decision became public.
If all goes well with #2, expect to hear specifics soon.
We were contacted by associates of someone who's already pied us - can't see us giving them that opportunity again.
I read that bold piece and first thought was bullshit. As if we have shown we do have a plan since they blanked us a few weeks ago so they want to now get involved

1. Failure to back Poch, led to Poch's burn-out.
2. Poch's burn out led to Poch getting sacked, and Levy convinced the squad was fine, just needed Mourinho.
3. Mourinho could not make chicken salad out of chicken shit, so he gets sacked before he accidentally wins something.
4. After a summer of soul-searching, and rejections, we found a despondent Nuno willing to take on the job.
5. Nuno was a no-no, and was much happier once sacked.
6. Lessons were learned, and Levy begged Conte with false promises. Conte said, ok, but only a short-term deal.
7. Conte learned that lessons were, in fact, not learned - forced his way out.
8. Levy decided that as the highest paid chairman, he should have the most say in football operations, and is looking for the right manager who agrees with him.
9. Thus far, that manager does not exist. So the search continues.

Now you are caught up.

Fucking hell  That was so brilliantly written, this should be rolling before we enter the forum like a star-wars film

What has Levy got to lose by giving over control to a Rangnick/Nagelsmann axis or similar? He’ll still be around to take back power if it doesn’t work, essentially without blame and all I told you so, while he’ll be hailed a hero if it does work

just get out of your own damn way Levy

Am I being optimistic in thinking #2 is Nagelsmann and #3 being Ange? Because #2 sort of started before #1, presumably Slot, became public?

Bet it was Potter. 2 must be Ange and 3 Amorim.

At a guess option #2 is Amorim (as we had ITK a week or so back saying we had talked to him) and Ange is option #3.

As for the last one, if you’re feeling optimistic you think it’s Nagelsnann and if pessimistic it’s Potter (As supposedly we wanted him in the past but he turned us down I think?)

Potter maybe, more likely Rodgers I reckon as the one who has rejected us previously.

Thing is, we don't know it was us knocking him back, that disastrous PR leak looks like it was JN that wasn't sure about us.

Romano said Amorim is staying at Sporting so doubt it's him tbh

Don't see how we would pay the compensation for him either if we wouldn't for Slot.

Reckon Amorim is probably choice #2. WLB alluded to that being the case a couple of weeks back and he’s been consistently linked throughout by everyone.

Personally I don’t think he represents enough of a fresh start so I’m hoping we look elsewhere (Nagelsmann) but don’t think there’s much chance of that really.
