I'd like to think this is the case, but unfortunately Munn is clearly going to favour Postecoglu and will be in Levy's ear. I want Levy to piss off - at least from all football matters - but its harder when we haven't got a DOF as well as Munn.

I can even see a scenario where we have Munn and Ange and a transfer committee again rather than a proper DOF ***rolls eyes***

Why clearly be in levy’s ear re AP. Because he’s a fellow Australian?

I don’t really care for De Zerbi but I’d suggest that even that league is more competitive than the Scottish prem.

Of course he would be a better choice if we could get him though, he has proven himself in the Premier League. Brighton could afford to take risks, we can’t. He’s also managed and played at a high level previous to the Ukrainian league.
So what exactly was this past 4 years then?

“not a risk”?

because they’re in a better position than us now. After we took the “safe” option and it turned out being far more catastrophic than anyone could’ve imagined.

Fuck it, I'm all in on Ange. The doubters can suck my shrivelled nutsack.

He's the only viable candidate left that who could cuddle me in his arms like an avuncular bear and make me feel like a precious little cub, while also playing unabashedly fun, attacking football.

Enrique will get fucked off with Levy within 6 months and yearn for his Barca days, while Nagelsmann and Gallardo very very obviously just aren't happening.

Let's just go for it, bring in an actual decent bloke and, at the very fucking least, make supporting spurs fun again.

Aussie Martin Jol mk 2 for me, Clive.

Sums up things nicely.
Touché.

I mean it's true he's not our first choice, but he's literally the only one that I think might bring me actual joy...which is the whole point of this football thing, right?

Nags, Gall, Amormim - not happening

Enrique - Gone in 18 months. Bet you anything.

Potter - 8th place forever.

Rodgers - Death.

At the very least Ange feels like someone who would unite the club, play good football and has genuinely decent values as a man. He feels like someone who could be a genuine legend here if we give him the chance.

And frankly, at this point I'd rather take the risk than settle.

I actually think it was going well until the deaths and Conte’ illness then we fell off the rails, you cant ignore things like that.

We’re still a big club and need to hire a manager that can get us to a similar position which was 4th and 4th again before things went wrong.

Unite the club? He’s one of the few managers who divides opinion strongly right from the start, like ahem, ahem, Nuno Espirito Santo

My point is he's the only one with the capacity to unite the club. Celtic fans fucking adore him and they all had the exact same doubts about him that half the posters on here have.

Nuno wasn't divisive - we all knew he was a dud from the get go. He was never a charismatic, attacking manager that would win the hearts of Spurs fans - we just hoped for the best and expected the worst. I don't think a single person on this board was excited by him one iota.

You know who was actually divisive? Poch.

Ange could actually do something here. He might not, but I'd rather punt on him and have a chance of actually enjoying myself than go for a big name like Enrique who will never be compatible with levy or someone like Rodgers that will make me want to throw up in my mouth everytime I see him in Spurs getup.

Sounds like someone who has thrown the towel in!

Of course he’s not the only one left to unite us. Plenty of others left. We just haven’t got round to pissing the rest off yet. We are close tho 😂

Well Levy clearly has too so I'm just being realistic tbh. Well, except the bear/cub part perhaps....
Let's not knock the bear bit, though wanting him to get the claws out and scratch the fuck out of the opposition manager so they are lying in a pool of their own blood- in a footballing sense!

Is Ange the perfect candidate? No he isn't. But are people forgetting that coaches in the dutch league, in the Championship and even coaches without a job appear to be turning their noses up at the role. Working with Levy is clearly not particularly appealing at the moment.

The direction should be towards a Poch, Slot or Ange type coach and with the first 2 being no goers now then Ange would be my pick too. Nagelsmann aside, who I believe has walked away after initially talking to Levy, there is no available coach in this mould who has a glowing CV of trophies in the top leagues. This is an unachievable target.

If we assume Nagelsmann is out of the question who exactly do all the #NotoAnge people actually want?
Enrique - Who's only particular impressive spell as a coach was with a fantastic Barca squad. Take that out and he wouldn't even be being mentioned for any job in the Prem.
Amorim - Similar style to what we've had in recent years. Impressive in Europe but 4th in Primeira isnt brilliant. Also doesnt speak English.
Potter - Another Chelsea reject? What De Zerbi is doing has raised questions on Potter's tenure at Brighton.
Rodgers - Really??
