I wonder if Big Ange would like his future sorted before his holiday on Tuesday if possible.

If it was me I’d like it sorted so I could properly switch off rather than try and switch off whilst thinking about the possibilities.

We shall see 🤞

Daring to go with a cheaper unknown to replace a more expensive Conte. It's definitely one of the more risky appointments we can make.

To be fair the brand of football Ange plays also fits the motto
That's the bit I'm most looking forward to.

It's going to be good to see some attacking football again.

Looks like we're all at a similar view with Ange, ticks all the boxes from a human perspective for us, likable, motivator, a teacher but won't tolerate laziness, can manage up, enjoys a rebuild, connects with fans, attack minded.

The only reservation, and warranted IMO, seems to be how the football will translate in a stronger league, or more specifically, gaps/dropping off in the press, the high line and getting caught on the break too easily.
As has been seen with Brighton it can work very well but it can also be catastrophic (see Everton 1-5)
If he has us playing like that we will accept the odd walloping, we were somehow getting battered fielding seven defensive players at times anyway!

We are certainly going to need to get in some better defenders if we are to move to playing a higher line.

Kane leaving plus clueless board deciding how the money is spent = bottom half, whether it's Ange, or anybody else it doesn't matter

Does he sledge the opposition like a true Australian? If we hire him then I want to hear him have a go at opposition players and managers like he’s bowling to Atherton in the mid 1990s.

A bit of sandpaper rubbed on a ref’s face after a shite VAR decision would be nice (Shane). As would calling Arteta a ‘Lego-headed sheila’.

I should have said more specifically, if AP can translate that to the EPL, it could be very much like Brighton.
Getting battered because the players were dropping off, making individual errors, fed up with the "system" is very different to AP's ability to set us up at a higher level, I'm mostly for taking a punt and living by our motto on this one, doing something bold and different, but there is also genuine concern here.

Can someone explain why we are too good for this Celtic bloke?
We aren't.

Some of our fans, however, have a strange superiority complex. Which, of course, has no basis in reality.

A little healthy skepticism is good. But the out right disrespect and vitriolic comments are outrageous. He's a good manager, on the rise, and won things at every club he's been at.

You’d like to think the club wouldn’t let it drag on, but we know that’s exactly what’s going to happen, as it already has 😭

I'd imagine he has a rest day today, packs his speedo's and a boomerang for the sunshine, then chats to our very own Bond villain tomorrow.
Or not, and it drags for another 2 weeks :playful:

Because a combination of Mauricio Pochettino and Harry Kane gave ENIC a good few years of pretence that we can compete and whilst doing so enabled them to build the new entertainment complex, no sorry stadium that was supposed to let us compete with any team in the world.

So now the fanbase is wondering why we aren't competing with the best having been told for years that this is the end of the rainbow.

I want Ange as that was clearly all bollocks and he is a unifying personally who plays great football but I can see the issue when every non football part of the club is treated like the biggest in the world and the football side is the opposite.

Sorry long winded I know but I think it's more than fans being horrible. We have been taught were a big side and the optics of it don't scream big side.
