It feels a different type of excitement doesn't it like a kind of cosy feels more right excitement rather than Jose was like this could be incredible but also have we sold our soul to the devil and will we be regretting the fall-out for a few years to come, which ended up being the case.
Very excited about this as Big Ange will bring the feel good factor back to the club and that is what it is all about.
You’re thinking of those players during and post-Poch. The squad was poor on his arrival and many of those who became standouts only did so under his watch.Sorry but no, I don’t think so at all. Prime Dembele, Eriksen, a young hungry Kane, great full backs. We really need to start waking up to how poor this current lot are.

That wasn't prime Dembele and Eriksen at all. Poch used Mason and Bentaleb in his first season. Dembele became that player under Poch, and Eriksen, while always excellent, didn't fully start clicking until Kane and Dele were brought into the fold. Kane only made cup appearances and didn't become first team until November.Sorry but no, I don’t think so at all. Prime Dembele, Eriksen, a hound hungry Kane, great full backs. See my earlier post. In Poch’s first season we’d lost 4 home games before Christmas (and only won 4 home games before Christmas).I really like the style of this guy and I've read a lot of positive stuff about him from those he's worked with. I think he could be great for us.
My worry is that should he start indifferently (and he's said that his first weeks are often rocky) our fans will be booing and baying pretty quickly and the board might not give him the patience he deserves. People have said they'll give him time, but what happens after the third defeat at home when we're eleventh at Christmas?
Scarred for Life by Rose Tattoo seems more appropriate!AC/DC - Thunderstruck would be cool too
Jesus - i cant imagine how premier league snowflakes are going to react to that …………
We will just have to agree to disagree, I think this is one of the poorest Spurs sides i’ve seen for a while. Bar Kane of course. That wasn't prime Dembele and Eriksen at all. The rest of that first team, when Poch came in, was flailing.
Thursday announcement alongside our new home kit ?
Also need to stop remembering history with rose tinted glasses, dembele for a long period was not great many wanted him gone, erikssen started slow also and was always ridiculed for his tackling, Kane could easily have gone before he even got his chance, Rose was considered second rate, Walker all speed and no brain. Poch brought a togetherness, a work ethic and improved many of our players, brought them to their own peak, turned them from nearly players into top top players. Many of our current squad could very well hit those heights with the right coaching. So let's not compare that team at their peak with our current team at their worst (excluding Kane) because it's nor a true comparison, time will tellSorry but no, I don’t think so at all. Prime Dembele, Eriksen, a young hungry Kane, great full backs. We really need to start waking up to how poor this current lot are.
No i’m not I love Dembele from day one, in fact even when I saw him for Fulham, so so underrated. I would kill for even half the player he is in this side right now. The current team are so poor, I still think people are looking at it on paper and thinking it’s not bad, but they really are poor. Mentally weak, I see very little evidence of a hard core backbone of a team amongst this lot, bar a few exceptions. I think Kane probably feels the same. You’re thinking of those players during and post-Poch. The squad was poor on his arrival and many of those who became standouts only did so under his watch.
No. Not in this thread I don't - which when not agreeing with something that's off-topic, instead of say making the thread more off-topic, I clicked disagree.@stool care to explain why you disagree?
I agree, this is a largely ordinary squad. We will just have to agree to disagree, I think this is one of the poorest Spurs sides i’ve seen for a while. Bar Kane of course.
It needs to be done, my fear is yet another let’s see what a new manager can do with these players.Totally agree with this -- in general, its not just a refreshing of the manager, but we need hungry players looking to hunt and assert themselves on the pitch. I often feel there is a core group of people who are frankly just burnt out for various reasons (Dier, Kane, Lloris, etc.). In sports, the players energy and morale is largely communal. Other than a few players, there has long been a general head down energy for quite some time. One thing that Pochettino did to minimally get us playing a full 90 minutes was just ruthlessly gut the players that wouldn't even commit on energy.
If Ange is what I think he is, the club best support him on gutting this bloated fish.
Poch inherited Eriksen, Dembele, Walker, Rose, Kane, Lloris and Vertongen.... Massively superior to what Ange is inheritingHope so, but if im honest I don’t think so, Poch had the making of a decent team when he started our current squad is pretty awful in my opinion. Add in the Levy factor and my expectations are not high at all.
Exactly. It’s not even close. We need aPoch inherited Eriksen, Dembele, Walker, Rose, Kane, Lloris and Vertongen.... Massively superior to what Ange is inherting
Like Charlene’s back in the day?A full overall is needed. Otherwise we will end up with the same shit with another new manager! There must only be a handful of players I say shouldn't go
