Why must Sandro say something? Has he said anything negative? Or must he say something just to alleviate your fears/paranoia?

Good solid post, not an ounce of over reacting at all to the original poster.

Perhaps, but tired of people posting like teenage girls worried their BF hasn't said anything nice or complementary to them that day.

Lol. You crack me up.

It is a discussion forum. If you don't like people giving their views and opinions, then why look?

It is quite legitimate to speculate that Sandro may well be getting a bit fed up with being on the bench. Given he is one of our best players I think most supporters would be happy if he came out and said he was committed to the club.

Some people may take his silence as meaning there is nothing wrong and that he is happy. Some may take his silence as meaning that he is pissed off (a legitimate conclusion) and would therefore be glad of clarification.

It is just two ways of looking at the situation; no teenage girls in sight.

Sandro I feel is the most likely to go. Chelsea would kill for him, as would Utd. This is without even considering other European giants that would love a sniff of him. Ideally we want to find a formation that fits all our best players in but Redknapp is not one for changing a winning side.

It was raised when Scotty was signed that Sandro might lose out.
You can't drop Parker on current form but the way we are playing
we don't need to deploy two defensive mids.

Plays for Brazil but can't get in the Spurs side.
Tough one.

He's only 21. And will get better. He comes on to play some part in most games. And will get plenty of game time by the end of the season, for sure.

Plus, him not playing continually keeps him out of the clutches of other teams. He can see we're on a winning run at the moment. I haven't heard him say anything negative so far. Only one interview where, when asked by the italian media, he said, yes, I'd like to play in Italy one day.

He'll be a big player for spurs, for sure.

It is really good to know that this is how he feels (or is it a 'please don't sell me too stoke in January' plea?).

I reckon both Sandro and Parker will play in a 4-5-1 this weekend, with Adebayor alone up front and Modric tucked in behind him.

problem is all the subs need to be playing out of their skin in training to get on the bench as Harry can't change a winning team, the players know it too.
JD is just letting him know he's ready and willing which is great, I don't think we need other coming out saying the same, Sandro hasn't said anything about being unhappy and after 8 wins and a draw he can't expect to be getting in the team unless it's as a sub for scott or Luka around 65 mins in.

The Brazilian international, who scored his first goal for his country against Gabon earlier this month, believes Spurs must aim high if they are to achieve their ambitions.

Sandro believes Tottenham must aim for the Premier League title this season, and has spoken of his admiration for summer signing Scott Parker.

The Brazilian midfielder had a promising first season at Spurs, lining up against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of last year's Champions League, before picking up an injury in this year’s Copa America.

The former Internacional player has since returned to action and is looking force his way back into the first-team at White Hart Lane, but faces stiff competition from summer signing Scott Parker, with Sandro quick to praise the former West Ham man.

“He is a great player,” Sandro told Hotspur. “Obviously we play in the same position but we have different styles and do our work in different ways.

“I am always happy to play next to him and I am learning all the time so I have that added benefit from our partnership.

“There will always be stages in games when the manager needs us both out there and I am not the only one with such a challenge.

“The fact that every position here brings with it many options illustrates the strength of our group.”

Tottenham are currently on an excellent run of form in the Premier League, having won eight out of their last nine matches in the top flight, and currently sit third in the table, but Sandro believes the north London club can challenge for more than simply fourth place this campaign.

He added: “We always have a good chance in every game we play. I know there is a lot of talk about hopes of that fourth place and I, of course, would also love that.

“We have to look beyond fourth. Why can we not finish second? Yes, other teams will have a major say in that and there are some powerful units sharing our ambition.

“We have to believe that we can win the league and go all out for that.

“You can’t just aim for one particular place; you have to do the best you can and then see where that takes you.”

The 22-year-old is aware that with the side performing so well he needs to earn a place in the starting XI, and he believes the quality of the squad at White Hart Lane will help improve his own game.

Sandro continued: “It is a very good squad. When you look at the list on a match day and then take in the subs, you fully appreciate how special it is.

“It makes you humble to feel part of it. Playing with these wonderful players also gives you confidence in your own game.”

I'm a 37 year old father of 3, but I literally love Sandro! Despite how fantastically well we have been doing, every single time he doesn't start I worry that we will lose him.

Parker has been great and I don't think most of us actually realised how good he is and how much of an impact he would have, but please, please don't let Sandro leave.

If he leaves you can be sure that he will be walking straight into the midfield of one of the massive European teams.

Great interview...but that line is key, good management from Harry that. I'm sure Harry has explained that he intends to use the both them in certain games from the off as well this season.
