Feels like we’ve had 6 meetings now and the same information has came out after every one ?
I swear half of our 'transfer rumours' are just Paratici having dinner with his friends on company dime :ROFLMAO:

Remember Hitchen's glorious trips to Milan in 2020, 4 cups of coffee and 5 bowls of carbonara later they finally started discussing Skriniar. Italians love a chit chat

Paratici's monthly expense claims must be off the chart ?.

Levy when he has to sign off his expenses

Plenty of confidence in this deal, update I had this morning is it seems to me moving in the right direction. Conte really wants him and that's good enough for me. Personally feel he would thrive under him in the PL.

I know his ‘health’ has been done to death but I’m curious as to whether we’re allowed to conduct a medical prior to agreeing a deal with Roma as unlike a lot of transfers where it’s a formality, in Zaniolo’s case it will have a massive impact on whether or not we sign him.

We can pull out of any deal if we aren’t happy with his medical results. I get what you’re saying, it’s a point of negotiation but no club is going to let another club conduct a medical on their player before a deal is agreed

I'm really excited by his power and agility, but not at RWB...
I think that in today's football positions are no longer that viable and its much more about players roles. Okay let's agree we may be not excited for him at RWB. But what if we move him virtually on formations graphics 6 yards further so he/Kulu/Lucas/whoever plays at RM and our double defensive minded pivots cover half space arenas?
If Conte doesn't want typical central attacking mid in Eriksen mould i assume 'RWBs' to play even higher than last year.

I get that Conte wants him but I genuinely have no idea why.
  • High risk on the injury front
  • Difficult to identify what he does well
  • Difficult to identify where he plays
  • Recent performances last season which could be most generously described as just about ok
  • Stats which show his passing is not very good

Just don’t get it.

Let’s hope Antonio can get out of him whatever it is he has clearly identified.

Largely agree but I'd say he does clearly do one thing well - dribble - and he's a bit of a beast physically, able to hold off players while he runs with the ball. Maybe Conte really values those qualities for a specific role?

I think his best position would be in rotation with Kulusevski but he doesn't seem to have the goal-threat or creativity, so seems like a lot to pay for a worse version of Kulu to me.

Just gotta hope Conte is right and can see something that we can't I guess.

I agree. I haven’t been this unexcited by a signing since we bought Nkoudou
