Apparently, from mkspur on FTL. Says his mate rang him from the team hotel, and Berbatov, King, Robinson and Bent haven't traveled to Reading...

I've been wondering if Juande will try Keano and Defoe together at some point. Would solve some problems if he could make it work.

Bent and Defoe is the best bet, Keano to come on.

Berbs has hardly lit the world alight on his last few performances.

berbatov not travelled then he must be injured, because why in gods name would you not take a player with you who has scored 6 goals in 2 games against the team you are facing???:bang:

I have come to the conclusion that Wendy wants to focus on just 2 or 3 comps this season, definately the League to get us back up to a respectable position, 9th would be reasonable atm and even at the end of the season, and a cup competition to tide us over (either CCup or UEFA Cup), if we win a cup the fans would be satisfied of a poor season in the league and going out of the FA Cup.

Ramos probably thinks we have more important games than this one and doesnt want unnecessary injuries before next tues. Makes sense to me

that was mine, sorry...

and it's pretty normal for players to go to a hotel, doesn't mean they stay there, just means they use the facilities and it keeps the team together and away from the media and everything - where else you suggest they meet, at the Lane then all head down in a bus, singing out the windows, like the old days?

Didn't we stay in a hotel against the spammers when our players became ill?

I thought it was a normal thing to do, get all the players together before a game ect.

I hope he doesn't try Taarabt aas a withdrawn striker

That's a good point RSS, i doubt we did stay in the hotel, i expect we do just use their facilities for convenience... :shifty:

Surely the most interesting part of this is no Robbo!

This can only mean 1 of 2 things...

Either the ITK is crap as why would you need to rest a GK, the very least Robbo would be is on the bench especially with Alnwick out on loan. What would be the benefit of putting Forecast on the banch?

Or if the ITK is correct then that surely looks like the end for Robbo? It is extremely unlikely that he will have picked up an injury between now & Saturday.

No Robbo tonight (at least on the bench) would surely suggest a move is imminent?

Not surprised if this is true, makes sense, and the point of Ramos concentrating on 2 of 3 cups we're in makes total sense, and I'd say we have a better chance of CC Cup and Uefa Cup victory than FA Cup....Rocha and Daws at the back tonight I reckon.
