This is it - we have to get 3 points this weekend to have a realistic shot at 7th and Europa League. This is always a tough fixture, but I think we can do it. If we can score two away at Old Trafford, we can do it at Everton, and they dont have the ability to respond the same way ManU does. This is our last chance to salvage something from the season.

I think we can definitely beat them, or at the very least pick up a point. its gonna be a real battle in MF with Jenas & Wilson vs Fellaini & Cahill. Cahill or Jenas will score, and whichever does will win the game!

Really looking forward to it!

team:

_______gomes
charlie woody king bae
lenny jenas palacios modric
______keane pav

defoe to come on after an hour!

2-1 to us, Pav and Jenas to score

Anyone else find it weird how we normally beat them at goodison but they always win at the lane?

Tough game, has 1-0 written all over it. Just not sure which way around.

Everton havent been playing brilliantly recently so now is the best time to play them I think.

Everton are a really good team even without much motivation atm, but I hope we want the win more and that could see us through. And we have to be very solid with our set piece defending with Fellaini there.

If I was Harry I'd be telling the team to get some big tackles in early and hard on the Everton side. With the injuries they've had to Jagielka/Arteta/Yakubu et al, there's not one player in that Everton side who won't be aware of the dangers of getting injured and missing the Cup Final, and if we set our stall out to not shirk any 50:50 challenges then that will be playing at the back of their minds. They stand off a bit, negate their biggest strength (workrate and commitment to the cause) in the process, we use the added time and space in midfield to let Lennon and Modric run riot. QED.

Except of course we're Spurs, so we'll find a way to mess it up somehow!

Every team bar the 4 with 50 internationals on thier books have been playing badly, its a long season and teams that predominately use the same 11-15 players are feeling the effects. Lets hope we can dig a bit deeper then the deep bin dippers.

Yes. If we win all three of our remaining games and they lose all theirs. We also have to score 14 goals without conceding any (or they concede 14 without scoring any). 'Tiny' isn't quite the word.

Everton will certainly have one eye om the Cup Final. They've pretty much (as SS57 has summarised above) sewn-up 6th place, so don't have an awful lot to play for. On the other hand, we do.

We need to go up there and stick it up 'em. COYS.

Actually, the last three seasons at the Lane have been a bit of an aberration—we won 10 and drew four of the previous 14 EPL meetings. Likewise, we've only lost twice at Goodison, won seven and drawn seven.

Really fancy us to do this. Losing Bent is a massive blow though. Need Pav fit and looking up for it. I'd go with Keane & Pav. Same team that started on Saturday.
