I'd rather go kick a ball around the park than spend the money personally!!

I always played football instead of watching though, so will my boys as well.

Have to admit, our recent form is massively helping to make sure they follow spurs rather than Chelsea or arsenal!!!

Which is a decent price for those that are local enough to take advantage. For those like myself, it always costs more getting to WHL than the actual ticket!

Your not selling yourself as much of a fan

I would have loved to have taken my daughter to see us play but never actually did.

The main factors were:

Cost: For roughly the same cost as travelling to London and getting into the match, we could hop on the ferry to France, catch a non-league game and have a good time with friends. She got to learn French, learn about a different culture, watch a game of football and make some friends. In terms of value for money, a weekend in France with friends in France won hands down.

Atmosphere: She hated the atmosphere generated by British football fans. The noise and general behaviour made her feel uncomfortable. On the rare occasions when we were on the train and a load of football fans, either on their way to the match, or on their way home got on, she would jump on my knee and cling to me around my neck.

I did try to build up her confidence around British football supporters, taking her to a few non-league games where I knew attendances and the potential for trouble and aggression would be low, but it never really worked.

I think perhaps if we were part of a group of fans she'd have been more receptive, she didn't have a problem in France where we were together with people of all ages and socialized with them outside of the matches too, but none of my social circle in the UK were interested in football so the opportunity never really arose here.

I guess Im part of this. It's because of the price and the fact that I am at UoB in Birmingham. A long way to travel to say Stoke at home which costs £40 odd quid. And we'll probably draw.

I used to go to 10-15 games a season before uni, now I go to go away games in the midlands e.g. stoke bham city villa wolves.. A membership costs a bomb as well its not worth the money esp with our premier league atmosphere being rather stale. Away games I prefer cos of the atmosphere.

The U16 prices are good, but they should have slight price reductions for U21s!

Been to the game today and although it wasn't a great performance 3 points is all that matters!

Once again this season I thought the atmosphere was poor. What has happened to our great support? It's all a bit stale down the Lane.

We are great to watch though!.........
