This is the system. Soak up pressure, give no real chances, use the forwards.
And it’s working perfectly.
Never really felt like they could hurt us.

Too many fans have been drinking the Pep koolaid and think that you can only play well or deserve to win if you have the lions share of possession.

I know you’re an ITK and stuff but go back and read my post again, from the start.
It’s a very very strange take from you mate. We won the game it didn’t matter, they’re England teammates they’re not a direct rival to us.

Absolutely fine for him to chat to him about it after the game and have a bit of a laugh about it no problem with that at all.

We all want to see sweeping passing moves and elegant attacking football, but the reason we are getting results in the absence of many of those is because we are defending unlike most Spurs teams. Everyone defends. Even when Forest attacked at pace, they found 5-6 Spurs players protecting the box.

There’s been an argument in thread about whether Forest created chances. Certainly they did, but they were all difficult chances, because we closed down so many options.

I like supporting a team that defends as a team. People underestimate the importance of defence when assessing a performance. Without our tough defending, Forest could have scored 3-4 today.

perisic is crazy levels above sess
Perisic was pretty average today, didn't have much impact and was a bit erratic at times but it only took like 10 minutes to notice how limited Sessegnon is
and how Perisic even in an off day is the way to go.

His 1st post was sarcastic.

Still perplexed by the non red card. Was it the double jeopardy thing? I thought that was only if you attempt to play the ball

Mate the entire post is bollocks, you should've been grateful I only focussed on one part.
It appears I missed it being sarcasm. Difficult to pick out the jokey posts in the match day thread and yours was far from obvious. So apologies if I have.

We have a good squad. We were wasteful today. A little sharper and we win comfortably.
Enjoyed Richie's performance and Spence had a good cameo. Was hungry for the ball and nearly got a goal. Richie should have put him through as well.

I'm contented.

Defense wins championships. Yet, its constantly overlooked when evaluating players.

I thought Forest played a nice passing game better than us but lacked any impact upfront. I never thought at anytime we would lose the game but we still haven't played well this season yet but still getting the points. There's a lot of positives to look forward to as we can only get better. For those on here who want Son out should remember what he has done for this club and his goals last season. I agree he could do with a time on the bench but he's still a great player and I wonder if all those wanking over Richarlison will feel the same later in the season. I think he'll get the nod against West Ham lets see what he can do in 90 minutes. Personally I think he's better as an impact player coming off the bench like to day.

No worries, wasnt meant to rile anyone up, it was just bad takes ive seen from people and putting them together.

I enjoyed seeing the players smile.

We’ve got 10 points from 4 games. We are not playing fluidly and in an entertaining style. However, we have not lost. We will peak at some stage. It’s a pleasant feeling that we are progressing. Sometimes it’ll be a case of grinding out results. We will come good. I’m confident we will get there.
