The things said about the player in that article very much remind me of what used to be said of Lukaku, and he hasn't been too shabby in the PL.

I'd take a punt on this lad. Have seen the obligatory youtube offering and he's raw but he has a football brain, is good in the air for a big man. Shades of Benteke about him.

Added to this he's the son of an ex International (Guinean), he was in Lille's academy from the age of 10 - 15 (who have produced such players as Hazard, Cabaye, Debuchy, Mirallas, Digne, Origi).

I guess the question is, if he's "all that" then why would Lille let him go at 15? I don't know the answer but, taking into consideration he spent three of those five years at Lille with Nabil Bentaleb, who was also let go by Lille at 15, I wouldn't see it as too much of a deterrent.

Lastly, transfermarkt has him rated at 2.5m.

Belgian, 19 yo, what's there not to like?

This is the kind of player we need! We need to be signing these Benteke/Lukaku-like players BEFORE they become quality and £20m. Think we should bring him in, he definitely looks suited for the PL at 6ft5 and built like a brick outhouse, as well as showing great pace too. For £2m or so, it really can't hurt, him and Beauvue would be great signings.

As I often say, we have to buy this kind of player before they are ready. If we wait until he has a full season scoring 20 goals, then the Chelseas and Citehs of this world will already make us irrelevant.

Didn't Chelsea pay 15m for Lukaku? I know it was a lot.

Exactly the type of option we should go for as a 3rd striker IMO.

It's the kind of deal that makes too much sense for us to do. I suspect someone else will sign him and then we will end up being linked with him for £20 million this time next year.

Agree with this but if we have 3 strikers for a 1 stiker system at least 1 needs to be able to play wide/ another position, even then we'll struggle to keep them happy, we don't pay silly wages or play cl, what's the incentive to be our 3rd striker?

I think Chadli could be used as back-up CF if needed to - bacause, as you're pointing out, Spurs can't - like ManC, Chelski, ManU - pay silly wages for back-up players (which keep them happy simply being bit-players).

I see no harm in trying him there, tbh barring injury I doubt he'd start more than 10 games there

Well, he's too raw to be be our 2nd choice at the mo, we need someone with more experience for that role. Coming in as 3rd choice doesnt mean he's going to be 3rd choice forever, and if we get Europa Poch has hinted at putting out the kids so that would give him 'development time'. Agree that ideally one of the 2 backups needs to be able to play wide as well though..
