O'Hara shares what Matt Doherty told him about Conte

Jamie O’Hara has told Stadium Astro that Matt Doherty has told him Antonio Conte is the best manager he and a lot of the Spurs squad have played under – but that they have had to win the Italian’s trust first of all.

“Speaking to a few of the players, speaking to Doherty about Antonio Conte, I asked him what he is like. The players absolutely love him, but what he said is, you’ve got to earn his trust, you have to earn his trust first.

“If you don’t, it can be a tough ride for you. But once you’ve got that, and you’re on your side and he knows he can rely on you – the players say he is the best manager, the best manager they have ever had.”

Interesting as a while back Conte said Winks was a player he can trust.

Interesting as a while back Conte said Winks was a player he can trust.

Interesting stuff. They definitely seem to be playing for him, that's for sure. Let's hope they just keep it up for another couple of weeks

Winks probably can be trusted in terms of effort. But in this system he isn't dislodging anyone for a first team place. A cm2 leaves little room for places. Especially when skipp returns and if / when the summer arrives. I think winks is on his way out for those reasons.

Conte has really helped Doherty, such a bloody shame he got that knock as he was really coming Into his own. And I was as critical as any.

While team is so much fitter and organised. Let's hope it carries on!

Shame for Skippy, earned the respect, was getting established and then injured... Hope he comes back stronger... I believe he will because he does not lack guts or determination.
