a new contract until 2011. According to Spurs Mobile.

From the official site

Jamie O’Hara has signed a new contract to extend his stay at the Club for a further three years, committing his future to White Hart Lane until 2011.

The 21-year-old Academy graduate broke into the First Team this season when he came off the substitutes bench to help create the winning goal against Portsmouth at Fratton Park and has since gone on to make a total of 25 appearances for the Club, scoring twice.

His performances have also been recognised at international level after he made his England Under-21 debut in the recent friendly with Poland at Molineux, while he has also been included in the squad for Thursday’s match against Wales’ Under-21 side.

A starter against Liverpool yesterday, Jamie’s contribution to the season was rewarded when he was presented with the One Hotspur Junior Young Player of the Year Award along with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust Breakthrough Award for season 2007/08 after the match.

Head Coach Juande Ramos said: “Jamie has earned his time on the pitch this season. He has come a long way in a short space of time so I congratulate him and this new contract is recognition of his efforts. If he continues in the same vein he will become a very important player for us.

“Jamie is an example to all the young players at the Club in that reaching the First Team can be achieved through hard work and giving the best of yourself.

Jamie added: “The boss is building a squad that is going to be up there challenging for honours and to be told that I am part of his long-term plans by giving me a three-year deal is good for me. I just want to keep showing him that I want to progress and become one of the top players at Tottenham Hotspur.

“To have another three seasons at the club that I have always wanted to play for is great and now I just can’t wait for pre-season to begin.”

Good.

That's one player we can knock off these ridiculous "player disposal" lists.

He is representitive of the depth we'll need to fight on four fronts again next season.

Pleased for him - he's got plenty of g&t. Don't know how thrilled he will be if we sign a couple of these top quality midfielders we're being linked with and his opportunities are suddenly greatly curtailed.

God, I've got to get this sore throat sorted out.

Just kidding, Jamie. You're definitely what we need to bridge the gap to 4th.

Yep, well done Jamie, worked hard all season and definitely a good squad player to have, although i must admit to being a little gutted when i saw the word 'Tottenham' on breaking news on SSN and thought it might be that we've wrapped up the quadruple signing of Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Villa & Gattuso.

Oh well.

I hope as he gets used to EPL and UEFA Cup level football, Jamie O'Hara can continue to improve. He's a neat and tidy passer, and works hard for the team. He also has better set piece delivery than most of our squad.

For me, signing O'Hara up for a few years was a no-brainer. In Europe, he'll count as a homegrown English player, which is crucial in terms of the balance of the squad. Apart from Ledley, I think he's the only homegrown English player we have apart from the kids, as I believe O'Hara joined our Academy at a young enough age to count as a proper Spurs graduate. A lack of homegrown English players may prove to be a huge problem for the likes of the goons in the next few seasons in terms of their European squad (I'm not sure if Walcott counts as an Arse academy graduate).

Plus Jamie's a good example for the rest of our Academy showing that if a player works hard and is prepared to play in a disciplined fashion for the team, then Ramos is willing to give them first team chances.
