I think he will be a really good addition to the squad and provide us some power and forward thrust, either in CM or in the front 3 behind Kane/Janssen.

But I voted 'no' because I do not think he will be considered a hit largely because of the transfer fee paid, nothing he can control.

He will help us improve and, if he shows anything like Euro 2016 form, I think he will help us climb up the places.

I go for miss...
Just because in general when fans lose a player they're usually gutted because they've lost a talent (us Modric&Bale) so will be bitter or angry or disappointed in that loss & then theyl be times when we sell a player and rejoice and be stunned we got so much (Townsend to a lot of you) and that's what I've seen from Newcastle fans is stunned they got £30m for a player in there words that can't pass, shoot or cross a ball. So for that reason i think he will be a miss but i hope he will be a hit.

He can. Just look at a clip I posted on previous page, actually he has very good crosses/passes with him.

Sorry you feel like that but having a die hard scum fan as our record signing doesn't sit well with me at all.
Ridiculous. Something I'd have said aged 6.

Jenas wanted a move to Arsenal as did Bale and Defoe. But they didn't give a monkeys when they were tearing LeScum a new hole.

Liverpool fans don't give a monkeys that Carragher was a die hard Everton fan and LeScum didn't when they nicked "Spurs fan" S*l C*ntbell.

Do you think he's not going to play his heart out for us against the Scum if he starts, with 30,000+ fans screaming for him?

I think it's pretty risk free... I love how the structured payments will work... 6M per year for 5years, most likely a minimum of... Maybe 15 to 18M. So we can give him a couple of seasons and see how things go...
I think there must be some sort of confusion if people think it's 6ml per year for 5 years.. that goes against FFP rules that state all transfers have to be paid within 3 years.. I can't see why UEFA would make an exception for us. I think it's more plausible that the 30ml is been accounted for through the books for 5 years.. so it is not an outgoing 30ml in next years accounts also means doing it that way if Sissoko was sold next summer for say 20ml that could be marked down as a 14ml profit in the following seasons account.

It's all just how the 30ml is accounted for.. Newcastle still have to be paid 30ml over the following 3 seasons to comply wit FFP.

I couldn't give a shite who he supports. They are professional footy players doing their job. If he does his job and gives 100% for his wages he can sleep in Arsenal pyjamas for all I care.

I think he will be a great signing. I might see things differently but i think this is the best window we have ever had. How anyone can be unhappy with any signings is beyond me.

We needed a striker and DM, we got them in straight away at ridiculous prices.
We needed a quick ball carrier to compliment our AM players we got that, yes unproven, but a proven world class AM is 40m plus and extremely rare....
People have constantly go on about Dembele being missed, Sissoko is a bloody good fit for him, i think will compliment Dier or Wanyama massively if needed in that poistion. Plus he can play the AM slots and with pace and directness, a thing everyone says we lack and moan about.

It's just the fee it seems, people going crazy that its a huge fee blah blah blah. 30m is not a huge fee now, Stones was 50m and hasn't proved a damn thing and was awful last year, couldn't even make the Everton team. David Luiz 30m, Ayew 20m. I could go on.... A guy in his prime for the next 3 years is perfect. We have the youngest team in the league, we are crying out for experience, our captain has vouched for this guy, Hugo would hardly want us to sign some kind of dud and he has just bossed it at the Euro's.

He was playing in a terrible down beat Newcastle team, i think a few people saying how he is a bang average player are going to be in for a heck of a surprise. You look at our squad depth now and some of our exciting youngsters..... we really have limited weakness now.

And the best thing yet is all the money we made from sales, losing only squad players who really didn't give many people on here much confidence at all when called upon, i mean Chadli and Mason sold for roughly 25m, that's nearly paying for Sissoko who is far better than either of them.

I'm honestly at a loss how anyone can be down beat or upset with any of the business we have done. And Levy has backed the manager, people can't even moan about him being tight now. This is seriously good times for us.

I bet you could put a clip together that suggests that Walker has a good cross on him.
Meh! he said Sissoko can't pass/cross and it wrong! he can and very good cross too. And stats show his most assists comes from crossing last season. Football fan nowaday just lazy to search or even try to watch or find a data of their player and just easy to throw away words like "can't cross can't pass" very annoying.

Toby had come off a great season and some people had fears whether he could go up another level

Sissoko struggled at newcastle. I heard some people say he was their best player but that is laughable
If you followed him in France you would know different. I was gutted when Pardew signed him for Newcastle. He rarely has a bad game for France, plus fifty odd caps is saying something.

Don't really understand the backlash, to be honest.
Too many bank managers.

If Bolasie is worth 28m, Sissoko is worth 30m, however you want to break down the instalments. What is important is Levy came through for Poch.

He offers something we don't have in the side. I'd rather judge him by how he raises his game than how he plays for a shit Newcastle side that had been managed and chairmanned into oblivion.

Between not having anyone and having him I'd take having him. Whether he'll be a hit, mind, is a total punt and I'll leave that to the soothsayers

miss. once the novelty of his lung-bursting but ultimately fruitless runs has worn off people will see him for the technically limited and unintelligent player he is.

Pretty much this. We've bought a player based on a good 5 minutes of unproductive bulldozing at the Euro's (or certainly paid 30m because of it) I reckon if Thiery "Give something back - wanker" Henry hadn't done his usual shit analysis with sexy french voice at half time against Portugal, Newcastle would have been lucky to get 10 fucking mil.

He'll have the odd decent game, he'll press pretty well, he'll plough his way through a couple of challenges and produce the odd moment, which will impress the the same kind of people who were impressed by people like Lennon or Huddlestone (players that look like they are doing something but invariably do nothing but in an eye catching way), but he ultimately lacks intelligence and composure and that is what the best teams have, even in their bulldozers.

If he was any good he'd be a starter for France and ripping up comps like the Euros...

Like that other Sousokko. The xxxx who supports the Gooners

1. Do you seriously think we bought Sissoko off the back of the Euros?
2. Why do you act as if we have no intelligence in the team? We have Eriksen, Lamela, Winks, Alderweireld- fuck, even Carroll, who are able to make intelligent passes.

I did and ironically enough Capoue was the player that played deeper and in theory was the player we need

I totally agree with you. My feeling is he will be left out within a couple of months, Sulk and want a transfer. He is not the player we needed as he is lacking in technical ability and certainly not better than what we have already.. Probably the worst deal done in the window. I think most people who have voted yes here, have done so more out of hope than anything else.

My criterion for hit = to have 10+ goals/assists combined this season.

I believe he will get this so hit.

The unknown is the potential influence Poch will have on him.

Look at the impact he's had on Rose, Walker, Kane, Lamela, Dembele,

The rise of Dier, who knows how much of an influence he had on Alli's meteroic rise, turned Mason into a decent premier league player etc.

Dembele might be the best example, always a potential world beater but was flaky as fuck, hopefully does the same to Sissoko.
