We dominated teams in the champions league playing free flowing football that was not seen in the earlier rounds in previous years.

We were the comeback kings, creating brilliantly exciting games and rocky eske stories

We beat the scum at their ground

Our left winger was voted player of the year (first player since Ginola), second time the premiership history

We've got Van der Vaart

We also have Modric

Sandro looks pretty tasty

Kyle Walker made the Villa first team

Man City spend a stupid amount of cash in order to push on

Above all, we look like we can hold our own against anyone. If we keep this core of player then we will always be around the top area of the table (memories are often short on this forum....)

And f**k it. It's your team so support them a bit. I think it's been a pretty good season and great amount of fun all in all.

We've also dropped so many points against lesser opposition, it's amazing we're in 6th place.

Until we sort out the big game only mentality, we'll not improve.

We are all disspointed because of this. With a decent strikeforce who knows what would have happened. Its the chance of a lifetime and we blew it.

It's been a great season. The wins against Inter, AC Milan and Arsenal were just fantastic.

However, funny you say we're the comeback kings, because in the league we've dropped 15 points from winning positions. Against West Brom (A) & (H), Sunderland (H), Birmingham (H), Chelsea (H), Wolves (A) we were winning but these games ended up being a draw and yesterday we lost. Additionally we've drawn 13 games this season. There's so much for us to work on.

Okay, fair enough, but at least we play in an exciting and somewhat unpredictable style.but we always have, that's why we support spurs, right?

Let's look at the positives, which for me,far outway the negatives.

I'm not sure our 'big game mentality' is too much of a problem. After all, as you say yourself, it's the points dropped against lesser opposition that has hurt us.

Its our attitude against the lesser opposition that needs sorting. That and some strikers who can hit a cow on its arse with a banjo.

That's what I mean - big game only mentality - we can get ourselves up for the bigger games but not against the lower sides in the league, which is totally the wrong attitude.

The big negative is failure to qualify for the CL. This far outweighs any positives because it had to be the priority for the season

I think it was always going to be tough to juggle Champions League and the League for the first time. It isn't like the Europa League where you can play squad players in the early stages, because then you'd get humiliated by the likes of Inter.

Last season we had all our focus on the League. Now we'll see how Man City do in the Champions League and the League. At least next time we make the Champions League we'll be better prepared for it. City will still be a year behind us in that respect.

Not to mention how young this squad is. I'm particularly excited about the prospect of Sandro now that he has had time to settle in. Along with the likes of Modric, Lennon, Bale and Huddlestone etc the future is looking great. It's vital we keep them together.

Obviously we need to improve on the strikers next season aswell, but lets not forget how unsettled our defence have been aswell. Woodgate has missed pretty much the whole season again, King has missed a lott of the season and Gallas is limping through games.

Next season I hope to see 2 settled centre backs (Dawson and Kaboul maybe?) and more prolific strikers.

only united and arsenal have lost fewer games than us in the league this season - we have far too many draws. What does that tell me? That we are not far away from being a top top side - we simply need someone to convert all our chances! Draws with Wolves, Wigan, West Brom, West Ham when we should have won are our prob. If we can get a striker who can finish our chances then we have a lot to look forward to next season (assuming we can keep our other players)
