Denis Zakaria is an upgrade on Sissoko.

powerful, great engine on him, good height, great acceleration, extremely skilful and has a great weight of pass so plays great through balls.

not cheap but fantastic player who will only get better.

Is he playing at CB more than CDM for Mönchengladbach?

No, definitely dm
Sorry, misread your earlier post! Somehow, while scanning over a bunch of posts, confused myself in to thinking you said he was an upgrade on Sanchez.

Anyway, yeah - with you for sure now. If he played Sissoko’s role alongside PEH our midfield would be SOLID but also good at quickly moving the ball forward.

Skipp can play dm back up to peh.

Zakaria is imho more of a box to box midfielder.

he is like a pacey dembele. Very skilful, great dribbler, can defend and importantly can play a pass.

Really depends on how JM perceives his development while away on loan. He only turned 20 in September. He may spend another season on loan, or maybe deputising for PEH as @Tyler24durden said.

Sadly I think Bayern is the most likely destination for Zakaria if he moves.

Having seen the way we have played recently, there is one position we can clearly improve on and that's the right side of the forward three - we have disciplined options but not goal scoring ones. I am still holding out hope that that is Bale.

Pedro Neto is a star in the making. I want him at Spurs.

But extra step will probably be a ball playing CM that can control the tempo of the game and partner PEH long term.

So Fabrizio Romano (I know I know) has said this:

Milan Skriniar's situation hasn't changed,' he said.

'Inter Milan needs money. If Spurs arrive tomorrow morning with £45m, Inter will sell him.

'[The deal for Skiniar] is up to Tottenham now.'

Now I've watched Skriniar in the last few games and I have to admit I think he's exactly what we need, looks physical, commanding, comfortable on the ball and can drive forward a bit and pick the right pass plus good in a tackle. Would really elevate our defence from what I've seen.

We would only go back if we sold Sanchez IMO.

I am going to repeat my choice as every time I watch this guy I am more impressed.

People will laugh at me but Scott mctominay is an outstanding talent, just turned 24 and turning into and absolute beast in that midfield for united.

A leader on the pitch and a right bastard to boot, he is an old fashioned DM, him and hoijberg in the middle of the park would be amazing.

Homegrown too, I'd throw Dele and whatever united wanted to get him.

Im a fan of McTominay. He’s a very good player. United wont sell though. He’s important for them. United need another midfielder next to him. Pogba’s gone. Fred’s not it.

I truly believe Dele is not done at Spurs yet. Dont forget He scored 20 goals in the last WHL season. He loves the club and we still sing his song. Hope Mou can whip him up like what he’s done to Aurier, Dier and Sissoko. Front three of Kane Son and Dele should be strong enough for title challenge.
Agree. Call me optimistic, but I feel Dele could be a X factor this season and making a difference to us when needed to take home some glory.

And what, in his overall performances in the last three years, has given you this impression?

Franck Kessie at AC Milan would be a great replacement for Sissoko, and he’s only got 18 months left on his contract.

The weakest link among our assumed 11 best is in the central/defensive midfield. In terms of who can slot in, domestically I’d say Calvin Phillips has the right skill set. Whether his ceiling is at the right level, I don’t know. From abroad maybe Joshua Kimmich for instance.

Kalvin Phillips I totally agree. Kimmich I'm not a fan of, but he won't leave Bayern anyway.
