Yes, good point. I suspect we'll be right back in for Charlie Adam and he'll cost 18m by then but if he's the right player, fair enough. We'll also have another look at strikers and I'm sure we'll get a proper number nine with time. It may well be a big signing too, which we all like.

personally, i think the uncertainty re our stadium has meant that weve been talking plenty but not putting our money where our mouths are....probably the right thing for the fiscal future of the club but in terms of competing at the very top level for the next few years, we're not there yet. We live in hope though!

We don't always need a high profile name, there is talent out there without a £40m price tag I'm sure

But weve been here before. We know what our wage structure is. So why are we wasting time on players that will cost 100k+

And to be frank Parker, Neville and Adam are shocking signings. Adam for 12m? do me a favour!

We need to uncover more Berbatov's, Bales, Lennons and Modders. But the current regime are too short sighted.

Why do we have £60m? If we couldn't obtain anyone in this window, who says we will in the summer?

Not only will our management (whoever that is) have to identify players to progress the club towards it's goals, but it will also have to be prepared to receive some difficult offers for our players who have tasted and enjoyed CL football. If Carroll is worth £35 million what does that make Bale? Regardless the club will struggle to hold onto Bale, Modric and VDV come the summer.

Why are people writing off Adam? I've long been an admirer of him and I think he's the nearest thing to Huddlestone we can get. He's a very good player, and would fit in well. £12m for him is a good price. Just cos he's unshaven, a bit ginger, and Scottish, doesn't mean he's not a class act. Better than Diarra IMO.

Not sure if it will be saved money as FFP comes into play next season. IF it's available, save it for when Harry joins England and give the transfer funds to Mourinho. NO slight on Harry, just large amounts of transfer funds are necessary to attract Mourinho, Who would be the perfect replacement.
