Hey happy sc world

Just thinking about planning a day out to the open training day at the lane and was wondering if anyone had been to such sessions before and what to expect etc?

Manage to get up to a few games a year but never seen the work that goes in behind the scenes.

Cheers for any info

Apparently so, had the email the other day and been toying with the idea.

Could be a bad day for Tourette's Tim as people may find him out.
Always wanted to see the work they have to put in through the week to look like they haven't played together come the weekend

Tim doesn't do the Training sessions apparently and I think the photo show that he hasn't been holding the sessions

Sorry but if the head coach isn't even attending the training session wtf is the point of their job?

There are a few photos from last month of Tim at the training sessions on the OS. So he is there, in some capacity anyway

Not seen him in any this month, but there hasn't been many or any photos of any coaches in them either.

Im sorry, but head coaches/managers are supposed to be at training sessions and run them.
No they aren't. Alex Ferguson is famous for running training session, would argue with his record.

AVB hardly had any experience of coaching before his first job at Academia but does get involved same with Mourinho.

Some managers aren't even in the same city for half the training sessions each season

Think this could be interesting after the last few games. Be good to see if Sherwood even bothers to turn up

I went to the last one, I felt we saw what was more a training demo as opposed to a full on session. The day was geared more to entertaining the kiddies. It was good but don't expect to learn any "secrets" , you may get the chance to get a few autographs though.

I got there a bit early, and took some photos of Timmy working with the team for Aston Villa. Looks like a few kids will be getting their debuts.

I presume you mean Fergie didn't run training at United? While that is true for the last 5 or 6 years he most certainly used to be a regular on the training pitch and his office at Carrington by all accounts gave him a perfect view of all the training pitches used and he had ultimate control of everything to do with training while taking advice for the coaches he trusted to implement his plan.

That said you are right in that you don't have to be their all the time as long as you have first team coaches you implicitly trust when it comes to how players have trained through the week.
