I know it was only Blackburn and they were awful but there were moments in the game we were back to our brilliant self with our passing.

Newcastle to go into free fall after that hammering, Chelsea to have one eye on the Champions League Final in which they will get beaten by Bayern and us to claim 4th spot to recover our faltering season. COYS.

Personally think 3rd is still easily gettable, regardless of our form.

its a nice thought, although i can still see us finishing 4th and chelsea nicking the final with the pikiest win of all time. early goal urgently needed for bayern.

im flying to vegas on the 19th (champions league final day) so wont find out until I land! could be one nervous wait! (then one hell of a jolly after!)

I can see us finishing 4th and the blue scummers winning the CL.

I don't really see past Bayern on their own ground, not wanting to be humiliated by an English club again.

Really? I can't see Arsenal dropping any more points this season.

I think we have a great chance of 4th though, at which point it's all down to Bayern. All those 'Bayern in for...' jokes better not backfire on us.

As for moments when we looked back to our best - that was largely down to Modric bothering to show up for the first time in ages.

It's going to take a bit more than a decent performance against a dreadful Blackburn side to get me optimistic again. IF we beat Bolton however....

I thought that also, and it's quite disturbing. If modric doesnt play then we are shit

It was good to win, 71% possesion as well sums up the dominance but Blackburn were very poor.
Hopefully it will give the side confidence to go into the next 3 games and finish the season by doing our bit to say where we finish - what everyone else does is down to them

The optimism should never have left! We have a good young squad playing good football with a new stadium on the way.

I think if we beat Bolton and play well we could be in 3rd by Sunday afternoon.

I have Arse fans at work who are saying they have completely run out of gas, hopefully Norwich will react well to being tottally shit in Saturday.

Blackburn were too poor to judge us on.

Our lack of cutting edge chances still worries me.

THink we might still scrape 4th, but think Arsenal will do enough to stay 3rd.

We need at the minimum, 4 points from Bolton and Aston Villa which will be easier said than done - both will be scrapping for their lives and will make for a tense occasion but as long as we are focussed, work hard and be clinical in front of goal then of course we can finish this roller coaster of a season on a high!

I was thinking that yesterday. I thought that we may be able to get away with not winning one of those away games but we'd have to hope that Chelsea would get nothing at Anfield if that's the case as I think they'll win their 2 other games. I don't expect Newcastle to beat Chelsea, Man City or Everton if I'm honest.

Villa we should definitely beat, they're so poor but Bolton will be pretty tough I think. Doesn't help that Davies seems to have found form right before the game, hate those bully type strikers against us.

I'm optimistic but the games we have left are far from easy.
Dont see 3rd may scrape 4th.

Come on Bayern!
