It’s not entitled , I’d love to know the thoughts why we we were so flat after a 3 week rest. Did the occasion get the better of us ? It was the biggest game in the clubs history, it cost the fans a fortune

There’s nothing the fans could directly do but large numbers still paid for season tickets at Levy’s prices etc

Do you think that we didn't try to win? Did levy tell them not to?

I went aswell . The money wasn’t an issue for me but I know it was for some .

Three weeks of preparation and no shots on target till about 70 mins?

And yes I played football for years at a strong level probably higher than you , you don’t even know me so I’m allowed an opinion

Not being a dick but I'm really struggling to understand the point you're trying to make.

The only point here, is that these days everyone thinks they have a valued and qualified opinion that deserves an audience, no matter how ill though out and nonsensical it is.

Of course not .

But I agree with the OP to an extent in what he says, we kind of rolled over and let a lacklustre Liverpool get the trophy over us.

Between the earlier Valencia Yid update posted today by @Bubble44 and the consistent messaging from our favorite ITKs since the winter, this particular thread is rather germane to what is going on at the club this summer.

A quick look at some of the posts from January/February of just this year and out popped this gem of a post. (There are real entertaining "Hall of Fame" posts in that thread around that time too. It would be fun to do a "before" and "after" for some of the posters in there. It would be even more entertaining than those house flipping shows).

This thread just reeks of defeatism. From the fans, to the playing side, to the upper management, it really feels like a majority have a loser’s mentality. Think that’s what Conte is getting at when he talks so much about it. It’s really changing the club ethos of “Murphy’s Law” that is truly insidious into one that is of belief and deserving of success. Good luck.

If the club's mentality has turned, we as fans need to turn. The best type of fan is the type of fan that brings out the best in players short and long term. The ones that make guys like RVV say that we're a special club. We'll attract players for less money because they want to be a part of this journey/project. Those fans will make the new stadium a fortress especially because of the acoustics.

The fans that turn on the team in an instant are the ones that can break a player's confidence in an instant. And that ultimately works against what we hope to achieve. Let's see if we can raise our game too not because of all the business we did. But because we're Spurs. And Glory is what we seek.

Good post Paul, I think Spurs fans at the stadium need to raise their game considerably. The moaning and lack of passionate support from so many is, so disappointing
When I compare the enthusiasm of the Korean fans, just for a friendly it's depressing
I would so love our fans to get behind the team and keep behind the team, from minute one of game one and keep it like that

Not really, the forums are places to analyse and debate. Though yes, some fans are too negative on here, but what matters is the stadium
One thing that used to really irritate me in the Prem era, maybe even slightly earlier too, is the fans singing so well in the Bricklayers etc.
THEN into the ground and its like a library or mausoleum
Almost as if a lot of modern fans can only sing with a beer in their hand. Though agree all seaters don't help, but even into my 60s I was able to sing and shout sitting down with a bottle of water for company

This a million percent. An atmosphere like that would make WHL as intimidating as hell for opposing teams and worth so many points, especially as we have a very physical team being put together. I could see lots of teams crumbling at our ground if it was like that week in week out.

People will say as well that’s just because it was the derby, but we can make it like that if we want too. Conte+Team+Crowd in that stadium with way it is designed would be formidable.

Most importantly we simply have to get over the line in a competition, we simply have too. You see all the time in sports at elite level, a team/player gets over the line, wins, and then suddenly they really believe. The way things have set up this is the last hurdle.

The fans in the stadium have a huge part to play.
