The atmosphere was ok today. Was never gonna be electric really!... I was in the Shelf lower block 31 and the atmosphere was pretty good. Usual banter with the Park Lane end but I think Paxton and the West stand were pretty quiet for the game but arent they usually the quieter stand anyways?

Actually the first half the noise from our fans fairly dead but I think that had something to do with the lunchtime start. Atmosphere is normally strange for those games. It picked up second half when we saw Modric coming on and the fans were making more noise before the first goal.

I'd also make the point that we sold out again. Compare that to what happened at Sunderland.

Atmosphere is always prety good in block 31, one of the better blocks, though naturally I am biased.

our performance first half was pretty dire and the first half was a total bore. It was also bloody freezing and palacios's misplaced passes didnt help either. picked up second half tho. I'm not a season ticket holder but my mate who is says it was nearly all new faces around him.

It's because I wasn't there. Well, actually even if I had been well enough to use my ticket I still couldn't have sung as I've lost my voice for the last four days.

Don't worry, I'll be back on form and in attendance in a weeks time.

I couldn't make it today either, it's never the same when I'm not there:)
Sounds to me like a quiet day, bit like the Fulham game we do like a challenge.

loads of non members there today.. probably most of them had never been to spurs before...

Good! I hope to god they get more chances in the future, I'm a season ticket holder but I sometimes wonder how non members are ever able to get to see their team let alone take their kids along.

Yes, very good atmosphere, and it houses the most attractive and intelligent fans too....

First half was a bit damp, much like the performance, second half was much louder. Once we went 3-0 up things quieten down again, again like the performance.

Next sunday will be something very different though.

There was the normal i've never been to a game before 'stand up if you hate Arsenal' song. The first half was poor so the crowd were a bit quiet and on edge. Once we scored the noise level raised considerably.
Games like this we miss Dan and his drum. Someone else should bring a drum as that does get the crowd going when the game is a bit boring.
It was 'only' Charlton though and fans just came expecting a rout.
The big games when the team needs us, we are there and on average are noise levels are one of the best in the Premiership.
Listen to it next weekend....the place will be rocking.

Poznan fans are mental. I think if it ever became 5-10 quid a ticket regular in our new stadium we could match the Poznan :D

It was abit shit. I was in Paxton though (grrrr). The fact that the Charlton lot turned up and outsung us was embarassing. Reminded me of when i went Chelsea away last season...

All I am tying to say is I wish english fans were more like foreign fans. They never stop singing all game, we only seem to sing if we are winning when we are at home anyway.

Imagine if english fans were like this:

I hate this continental supporter culture. It is based on people with megaphones starting all the chants, half of them don't even watch the game as they're facing the crowd to get chants going and constant chanting of "oi oi oi oi" is hardly atmosphere - it's just boring and annoying. You have the same chant going for twenty minutes and your ears practically start bleeding. The chants don't even stop if either team scores, and if you're not at the game to watch and absorb what actually happens, why are you there?

I strongly prefer the English / British style of shorter chants that both can work as comments to what happens in the game and as general expressions of support. And also the interaction between home and away fans is what makes the atmosphere at English / British grounds special. You don't get that when all the chants are started by the man with the megaphone.
