Our strikers

Don't know about the rest of you guys/gals but with all the media hype sorounding Spurs this summer it really distorts my perceptions of our players.
Berba has said nothing all pre/off season, he has said nothing bad, turned up to training, we all know he says very little any of the time but this off season its just got the better of me.
Bent on the other hand has said all the right things about getting on with job at hand, banging in the goals doesn't do any harm either.
I am finding myself thinking, maybe Bent could lead our attack we could get someone like Milito/Pav to share the workload, would we be any worst off for losing Berbs?
then i think, Berbs is one of the best strikers in the world, with him and our new signings ,,,, who knows what can happen??
One thing i do know is that i cant wait for the season to start and all this:bs: to be put to bet, either way.:shrug:

damn straight, i cant wait for Aug 17 (in Australia time hehe)!

Berbs is so good in that he can play that lone striker role, predator type like bent, buthe can also be the most skillful player on the planet and play like he has the last 2 seasons.

Whether he's here or not we now have enough quality in MF (unbelievable the change from last season, especially when we get arshavin) to cover losing berba.

Bents 7 goals in 2 games illustrates this perfectly. He has been finishing very well, which we all knew he could do, but the balls from the MF and the fullbacks have been handing him chance after chance

Another striker of his ilk but different at the same time will set us up nicely

Im very excited about Bent right now, he looked so sharp at Norwich. I'm perfectly happy to have Bent leading our line on day 1 of the new season.

I think we may see Bent as the main lone striker this season with Arshavin playing just off him if his transfer goes through. I can't see Berbatov staying if he's gonna sulk all season. Here lies the problem, as If Berba goes we left with only Bent (and Pekhart I suppose) as the only tall striker.

I'm not convinced with both Milito and Pav, I feel we can do alot better in this department, considering the gems we have signed for our midfield.

Gio can also play as a striker or just off if needed and I'm sure we will see him play there quite often this season as he gets used to the league. Modric is another who can obviously play in the hole and I believe him saying in a interview the other day that the hole was his preferred position.

we've got plenty of plugs for the hole, we are really only in need of a big no.9. Theres not many round that are good enough/will come to us?? Maybe juande and damo will unearth an unheard of gem like berba

Whos the Lithuanian and Albanian strikers atm?? Anyone?? Spursking??
