Just popped over trafalgar square and it's packed with Krakow fans.

I spoke with one of them. Forgive me, my polish is not very good, imagine him sounding like the french policeman off Allo Allo.

Monty 'You Krakow' (a bit obviuos seeing as he was wearing a krakow hat, scarf and shirt, with the obligatory plastic policemans hat on)
Him 'Yes, Krakow'
Monty 'Me, Tottenham'
Him 'Krakow win 2-1 todays, you know why, Tottingham bad form, our boys, saving them for this game.
Monty 'You lost sunday'
Him 'Yes 4-1, krakow sheet'
Monty 'All the best, good luck for tonight'
Him 'Yes, krakow win 2-1'

Cue him walking off singing some polish garb and lots of police turning up.

I met a Polish bloke I know vaguely when I hobbled up to the shops earlier. His English is pretty rudimentary and my Polish is non-existent, but he's a Legia (and adopted Spurs) fan, thinks they're a bunch of ****s who ought to be put up against a wall and machine-gunned, and hopes we stuff them.

shame it looks as though something will kick off, the meeting place for them is what used to be manhattans pub on the nth circ, apparently its a polish pub now but arrangements are being made for them (appx 3000) to be escorted to the ground, as their intent has been made pretty clear.

if you are coming to the match, hope you all keep yourselves in a safe position , if you are aware of a situation developing please give us a text 07766553225 stating where it is.

cheers

yeah, i work at ocado, alot of the workforce are polish. there must be atleast a dozen poles who are going from there who ive spoken too, all have got home tickets. i was gona go with one of them, but i thought against it. i heard that there will be about 10,000 krakow supporters at the lane, which sounds pretty insane.

10,000+ is the expected around the ground, anyone just been near or through the NCR, anything building up.

Police choppers are flying very low over the High Road. One was barely 100 feet over my back garden just a few minutes ago.

I was going to get a ticket but my knee's gone and I can barely get up to the shops, let alone up the steps at the Lane, so I passed, but I thought that loads of Poles would be snapping up tickets when they went on general sale.

Update—missus has just got in from work, delayed by traffic, and says she's never seen as many cops before a game. Loads of mounted, dog vans, the full works.

Lots of rumours about them buying tons of tickets in the home section and various anecdotes of the ticket office not really caring :-(

That is obvious, I would expect any fan in the home stands cheering for the away team to be ejected!

not quite mate have you not been to a game where away fans have also been in the same section? ive seen it a few times and not one of them has been thrown out

Is this at WHL? It can imagine it happening at other stadiums, but not at WHL...

Ooooh, all these police, copters and dog hounds are getting me excited! Eek

the ticket office not caring is totally untrue, every precaution has been taken. but the krakow support in the home sections will be minimal, and dealt with very quickly, every section is being closely monitored and recorded, the problems are going to be around the ground.

we have been advised that seven sisters has now been closed to traffic - waiting for reason

According to She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed there were loads of mounted cops and dog handlers down there when she came past 20-30 minutes ago, so they were obviously expecting something.

interesting - were they causing trouble or just watching the game - it can happen where supporters buy tickets for friends, family that support the opposition but unless they appear to cause trouble or tend to incite, there is no reason to eject them.

actually they were no trouble but they got a bit excited when the first on went in, could have easily turned nasty
