Think its for rotations sake.. we have pool and Leicester coming up.. fingers crossed we get the early lead or 2 then sit back and conserve energy

Lo Celso incredibly unlucky to miss out but I guess the team picks itself while it continues to win.
I think he deserved a start tbh. He was building up momentum and won't be starting Wednesday ether so it might set him back again. I really hope fatigue doesn't play a part of the Liverpool game.

To have either one of Bale or Vini not on the bench is a surprise enough, but to have both out is really question marks. Could be illness or injury to one or both, otherwise it really makes one wonder.

Perhaps Jose have something up his sleeves at Anfield. Who knows.

Could have done with Vinicius on the bench, no Bale either, the two players Jose hooked off midweek ...

Im sure there will be a reasonable explanation but it will produce headlines. They’ve been banging on about wanting Dele on the bench but will probably not even mention him. I think he could be a good option off the bench today.

I actually think there is a decent chance that he will start at Anfield, but we will see. First things first.

My dad passed away this morning.
He was an Ipswich Town supoirter but always had a soft spot for Spurs. We lived 10years of our lives in Bruce Grove.
He wanted us to win the league this season...
I hope we win today for a special man with a great heart.

He’s running a meritocracy and much as we’re all desperate to see Bale come good, Mourinho’s priority is keeping us top of the league.

It’s a long season and things will surely evolve but right now, he’s going to go with what he feels gives us the best chance of three points.

If we dont hear anything about it today & neither are there midweek, we know what it is.

Maybe fatigue played a part in this game? I mean Lo Celso just came off a start VS. Arsenal and in the Europa, Ndombele is the fitter for this game so makes sense

It really does say a lot about the quality of our last transfer window that we’re able to rest Bale, Vinicius, Lo Celso, Lucas, Davies, Doherty while still fielding a full-strength team a few days before we play Liverpool

Very sorry Ackie. We live up in Suffolk now and have a soft spot for Ipswich. All the best mate.

Today's first XI is undoubtedly Jose's first choice now, with Bergwijn having edged ahead of Moura as the RWF. Biggest surprise is Dele on the bench ahead of Bale. No surprise to see Doherty, Davies and Rodon on the bench as I suspect if we are winning by a goal we'll see u shut up shop and look to defend aerially.

Edit: On reflection it is not really a surprise not to see Bale on the bench as today is about the WFs grafting to double up on Zaha and Eze.

Mate difficult to comprehend someone's loss, but just recently I thought I was going to experience the same as my dad is 87 and now struggling.
I am desperate to win the league this year whilst I still have him, the sands of time run out for all of us eventually and I hope that I don't suffer a premature loss like yourself.
I wish you and your family all the best and condolences as well.

Can understand not messing around with a winning formula but certainly think Gio is unlucky not to feature but then it's customary to have the Ndombele for Lo Celso 60" sub isn't it to still enable us fresh impetus with a passing conduit in midfield.

In any case, you'd imagine a less pragmatic performance today with us take the game more to Palace but nevertheless, we'll create chances on the counter.
