Following the excellent banter of this evening (Anderlecht fans at Arsenal signing "oh when the Spurs"), I came across some comments on a different website that said Spurs have started/will be starting a partnership with Anderlecht re transfers and loans.

Anyone hear about this? Or is someone making it up?

Would be great if it is correct! Something that should have been attempted a while ago

Would love this if it meant we'd have a first chance at signing Aleksandar Mitrovic

Could be a good opportunity. We have been linked to Mitrovic and Najar for the upcoming window, I believe. Plus, could be a nice way to get first team and european experience for some of our youth.

Well certainly if it had already started, you'd think it would have been officially announced.

Do we not already have a partnership with Standard Liege?

Is that official? I'm quite sure it isn't. Being able to loan players to Anderlecht and also having the possiblity of securing some of their prospects would be amazing. Especially because it's a club that's essentially been dominating the belgian league for years and having youth there would give them a winning mindset.

I don't know that the Standard Liege one was ever made official like we did with Inter. Porto Allegre, but i think there is something just not sure what the format is....not sure if it is a marketing alignment or a full on affiliation (right of first refusal, loans etc.)

Anderlecht would be fantastic to make official, as you said they always have youth coming through the ranks and currently seem to have several players that may be worth looking into...

Apparently we have several partnerships with clubs that haven't been announced but each partnership has different perks like some include use of medical facilities

if only that could be announced.
Not too bothered tbh. As things stand right now he's about our level i'd say, i can't see any teams vastly bigger or more attractive than us desperately wanting him based on his performances this season and last.

Spot on. Anyone suggesting he's too big for us need only look at that second goal conceded to Newcastle. Bayern and Barca scouts would laugh Vert's agent into needing a new cell phone after seeing that.

It could only be a good thing for us if it would be like the Chelsea-Vitesse Arnhem partnership.
