Has a radio breakfast show on Gold (Formerly Capital Gold, once home to legends such as Caesar the Geezer and Tony Blackburn). Who knew?

I want to be him

For those of you unaware as to what on earth this has to do with Spurs, Coyte has been our half time announcer for the past few years. Yes, he's the lucky S.o.B that's paid to be at every home game, chatting to players past and present etc.

Why are they wasting precious man power on a half-time announcer?

Don't they know how long the food/beer queue is........Get him a cap and stick him behind the counter :p

Just to add to the banality of this thread, me and my mate ‘Staly’ spotted Tony Blackburn on our train travelling back from Newcastle to Manchester back in 1971 (lost 1-0).

The train had a corridor and he had a side compartment to himself, and given that the fella was on the top of his game at the time on Radio One we thought it a good idea if he signed one of our programmes. Anyway, I slid the door open as ‘Staly’ reached inside the pocket of his Crombie jacket for his programme and, well, the bloke just panicked. He cowered in the corner of his seat and started pleading with us not hurt him, how he wasn’t interested in football and how he just wanted to go home safely to his family etc.

His hands were shaking when he signed one of the programmes – we also asked him he’d give Spurs a name check on his radio show the day before the League Cup Final the following week – but he never did.

I’ve never liked the bloke since, but I do still have the autographed programme. Probably now worth fuck-all after he scrawled all over it.

Doesn't seem like he did much wrong

Spurs fan? Radio show? Media whore? Talking bollocks to a wide audience on a regular basis?

And I haven't had a mention in ten posts?

I find his announcements rather amusing, I'll give his show a listen.

He also travels on the away games in Europe as the hospitality host (or at least he did last time we were in the Uefa cup, as it was then)

Whatever happened to Caeser the Geezer?

Used to listen to his show all the time back when he was on Invicta FM (a Kent radio station - fact fans).

He has some useful things to say about heavy electricity as well
