I honestly can't see how a player who needs a career reboot wants to play for a coach who hasn't proven anything yet.

it was probably made in relation to the Lo Celso signing by putting pressure on Betis.
Whether it was a genuine interest or not is debateable

Depends if they can work him into their system which they couldn't do with DiMaria or Juan Mata who I'd class as a similar player.

Yeah but that's the gig, he's not being asked anymore than any other manager, Klopp has had to say 4 times this season that the club can't spend this summer and only 4 clubs can do that, Poch is the manager deciding to tell everybody he doesn't get the final say and now suggesting he plays no part.

To be fair if Utd are the only ones to cough up what Juve want then he doesn't have much choice. It doesn't sound like he has us as an option anyway.

Of course Di Marzio is very reliable, but I heard opinion that he is agent whore. And it would make sense when in England i saw only one report about him in United (Stone but he also said its very early stage. Maybe too early to meet with agent in the club office)? That "false" rumours would be very good for both clubs to make Inter pushing for Lukaku harder. United would get more time to find his replacement and Juve will get Icardi faster.
