If ITKs are right and we do get the players we want, Lo Celso and Sessegnon, plus Dybala, we will be absolutely stacked to a similar level as City

We might have the advantage with our window closing earlier, if Juventus need to balance the books then they can't chance letting a good offer by august 8th go to waste on the off chance PSG sell Neymar at the end of august.

I'm not sure how PSG can meet FFP if they sign Dybala without selling Neymar. I believe they were already up against it before signing Gueye for £30m.

They do say (RMC, not GFFN) that the Neymar situation is key to them moving for Dybala and that they also have to focus on Thiago Silva & Cavani's contract situation

I assume that is the card we'll play. However if PSG offer the player £350k a week he might prefer to wait and see.

Can I quickly make a very unpopular opinion and say I think I'd prefer us to spend around £80-90m bringing in two top fullbacks...

Not unpopular at all. I don't understand how anybody, whether that is members on SC or Poch himself, can look at our squad and not think that top class full back/s would be more important that Dybala and improve us to a greater degree(if Eriksen stays).

Hello all lurker here thought I would sign up seems like a good site. That's that out of the way onto the thread Dybala would be a cracking signing imo it has come out of nowhere but ITK in the past have said we get offered players all the time and Poch says no but going back to comments he said when we lost to Juventus in CL he really rates Dybala might be the only chance we have for him now

(y)

Poch is obviously a fan. I'm sure Levy will try and make it happen, but it's going to depend on if we can get the finances right and if we can convince the player to come - I think Poch could work his magic on him.

The same GFFN run by a gooner?

Just saying, let’s wait and see.

If we’ve been offered him, it might be the only chance we get to sign such a good player, you don’t pass up those kind of chances because they don’t come round often.

We are into a new financial year for football clubs so Juve won't have a pressing need from FFP to sell Dybala. They could do that in January or in May/June and still balance the books for FFP.

Cashflow, that's a different matter, but you would have to believe that they could carry themselves for a period with their backers.

For me Dybala makes absolute sense because, and I know it’s not a popular opinion here, Alli is easily the most upgradable player in our attacking line up.

I said it about Dier as CM 12 months ago and was shouted down by some but it’s become more obvious to others now.

A forward line of Son Kane Dybala would be Poch’s dream line up. Then you have Eriksen and GLC alternating for that other role.

For me Alli is the weak link and has been for 12 months now. I just don’t think his all round game fits into the attack of an elite side.

Put it this way, could you see Son or Kane playing for Real Madrid or City or Barca? Yes I could. Could you see Alli though? Not a chance.

That’s not to write Alli off, and if he comes back into form he’s a talent, but I struggle to see how he really fits into a slick dynamic attack which pretty much all elite sides now field.

Going into this season he’s sticks out like a sore thumb as the one we could easily upgrade on with a top talent like Dybala, and I’m sure that is Poch’s dream too.
I see this a lot about Dele and last season. Due to injuries to others,he was played far deeper than normal for the majority of his appearances, add to that his injuries. His most effective position is further forward.

I disagree that he is easily upgradeable, he is extremely versatile because he is a talent. You can't however moan about it his lack of goals and assists when he plays deep.

The thing that gets me is why did we leak it.....Surely if we did not think we had a chance to sign him we would not leak something like this because it will just make us look stupid...

Tanguy is fantastic signing and show great ambition from the club, but possible signing of Dybala is tier above them and showing top ambition. I'm all over it, and I believe that Sess and Foyth would be great fullbacks.

Why does it make us look stupid? Trying to sign a top footballer?

It's not like there's a queue outside the Spurs shop of people trying to buy Dybala shirts!
