If we really wanted this guy why do we leave it so late to negotiate the nitty gritty in what appears to be a very complex deal?

Why?

I'd assume this was a deal that became available very late, and was financially possible, so we made a move. I doubt we would have left everything so late if we had a choice.

Seems a very strange reason for the transfer not to go ahead ('cos Juve want a replacement lined up) given all the other obstacles that needed overcoming (and were overcome by all accounts).

Thought Juve were the ones who decided he was surplus to requirements and wanted him out ?

Feel this one might have more twists in it, but if it doesn't go ahead then we couldn't really have done any more could we.

Inter can give Juve a replacement for Dybala, but wondering what's the upside for Juve. Icardi won't play for Inter but Dybala would give them something special. With Conte at the helm, they become probably the biggest competitor for scudetto.

Their windows closes later? Find a replacement outside England maybe. Juve seem like a total dick

Haven't Juve still got a few weeks until their deadline? don't worry you'll get a replacement...

We knew it'd be difficult, but christ I don't think anyone was expecting this 'on / off' fiasco!

It's stressing me out!!!

ITK reckoned we'd been doing stuff for a few weeks - makes sense as that's when we first heard about it - but obviously a lot of parties involved and a deadline always serves to concentrate minds.

Totally agree but you'd of thought we could of intensified the negotiations earlier had our desire been really strong to bring this guy in.

They've clearly reached those intensified levels in the last 24 hours.

Italian teams don't seem to be at all bothered about transferring players to rivals right?

On the face of it swapping Icardi for Dybala is ridiculous and you wouldn't want to strengthen a rival but Italian teams don't seem to care about that

They still have 3 weeks to sign fucking Icardi(or not to sell Kean,Mandzukic and Dybala in one window).

They still have Higuain and Ronaldo at the club too. Not like they have no one. Selling their promising young striker seemed mental in the first place, but now it just sounds bizarre given that reasoning. Wtf is going on?

Considering what JJ said about very few people knowing what's going on, does seem a little bit like guesswork from everybody involved. I think I'm going to go lie down for a few hours

Who gives a shit about Sky? They will be last on the ball anyway.
Too many letting themselves get hooked by this media spin. I work EXTREMELY close with all major news outlets every single day and they're fucking clueless majority of the time. Always hanging around trying to get a sniff of a story. Rats the lot of them.
