I would have lent El Tel a few quid in the early 90's. Then he would keep his hand out of the til at Spurs and I would have gone to more games. Then I would have passed up on my goth phase in the mid-90's. It was a tad feminine. Still, I looked hawt.

We were close to getting Fergie before Man Utd came in. I would have made sure he came to us, even if it meant making him sign the contract under duress.

We would have fired him after 6 months as We never give our manager time and patience is a town in Russia for our board.

Hahaha. Selective history. He fucked up, everyone does.

May I remind you:

Scored a hat trick to get us through vs Young Boys
Scored our first ever Champions League goal vs Bremen
Scored at home vs Inter
Scored at home vs Bremen
Scored to put us through against AC

The thread is turning back time and changing one moment in history......you're getting a bit too stressed about defending him methinks!

When I was a young kid my Mum's family were all Arsenal
and lived around Highbury Corner, Barnsbury and The Archway.
Used to get taken to reserve games regularly at Highbury.
Then when I was eight my Mum who had been widowed early in the war
re-married into a fanatical Spurs family and I went with her obviously.
Never once regretted it but since you ask the question.
Sept. 24th 1950 is the reset moment.

If we had hired Wenger at at the exact same time Arsenal did he wouldn't have lasted 2 years before getting the sack

How much did Defoe and Keane actually cost us though? Didn't both Portsmouth and Liverpool still owe us money? If so, that debt would have been taken off whatever we paid.

If you lend me £10, then buy my Tracey Emin signed bedsheet off me for £30 and say I'll just give you a £20 and don't bother giving me back the tenner you owe me, how much have you spent altogether ?

god I think of if I could go back in time to change this, that and whatever too often, and now someone puts this post up

on footy there is too many moments like the one above, but if I could of changed 1 that changed everything to the way id of hoped for, it would of been Archibald not missing a sitter against Liverfools in the old League Cup final in 1982.

then it would of needed the ref a few weeks later in the cup winners cup refused to start a match in fog away to Barca, which might of meant Clemence never let that shot through his hands 2 weeks later, and so on and so on

The whole John Terry, Capello and Redknapp chain of events is definitely on my recent list.

For some reason Milenko Acimovic hitting the crossbar from virtually underneath the goal is as well. Mainly because I didn't end up going out that night as we didn't beat Fulham. I really wanted to go out that night. :( Especially as I heard there were hawt goth girls in ...

I would have frozen Dave Mackay in time and then set him back in motion at any opportune future time.

A one man team that everyone would love to have.

I really hope you haven't got a signed bedsheet from Tracey Emin! :ROFLMAO:

I went to the same Art college as that fraud. The college has loads of her work in storage, but they won't display any of it on the grounds that she's awful. Both as a person, and as an artist (and yes I'm ITK on this one).

Anyway, I'm not sure your analogy works. Say I have an apple that I originally picked up for 20p, and I then decide to later value it at 80p. If you decide to buy it off of me for 80p, but only give me 30p up front, you'd still owe me 50p. If I decide to buy it back from you for 80p, you'd have to knock off the 50p you still owe me. I'd then simply give you the 30p back you've already paid earlier.

I wouldn't have spent anything, but officially it cost me 80p.
