After the boro game Berbatov told Poyet that he would not play for Spurs once he returned from International duty. On Friday he told Ramos and Poyet he wasn't in the right frame of mind to play.

He has been fined two weeks wages and he trained this morning with the youth team! Juande's decision.

Issue with selling Berbatov is not the money, we just can't replace him and we're not going to be able to adequately. Villa and Eto'o we tried and failed.

Arshavin was never as likely as some have suggested and I'm told it's pretty certain it won't happen now.

Milito still on the list but not preferred option.

Huntelaar is a target but will be difficult now and DC and JR have doubts about his heading ability.

Guy from Argentina Palacio is one they like.

Highly unlikely that we will sign a DM in this window. Corluka should happen (we already have the photo of him in the shirt from before!), didn't want Kompany because of his injury record. We tried for Lescott a week ago but we were told in no uncertain terms it's not happening.

Got all our money back for Kaboul.

Nothing is happening at all unless the situation changes dramatically (which it may well do). Might have to get a loan in because as it stands by the time we know if Keane is going we won't have time to do a big deal.

Not for want of trying. No-one is selling for anything less than silly money. The market is unbelievably stagnant - plan was to sell Bentley, JJ, Hutton, Gio, Keane and re-invest £40m+ on two or three players.

All going off now. The paperwork was late and we're claiming 'technical difficulties' - Premier League are demanding proof. Odds slightly against at the moment and won't be sorted out today. The PL are saying they might need technical reports from the machines as evidence etc

This is 100% the situation. I don't post what I know very often but Prof and others will verify my info is well sourced.

Re Arshavin deal we have brought it up with them. The PL claim the paperwork was all filed on time but the delay was because they went through it with a fine toothcomb as they were worried about third-party ownership.

There is room for maneouvre but we have to convince them and with evidence/proof.

We've got a chance. PL haven't slammed the door in our faces but we've got to convince them we're telling the truth. It's all down to Darren Eales and no-one has a clue at the moment.

Pienaar has pretty much agreed to come - it's just whether it happens in Jan or at the end of the season. Presumably Hunter knows this because Pienaar's agent is Spanish.

Yeah a few but for various reasons it's very difficult.

Harry wants someone who can play up front on their own - lead the line, hold the ball up, link up with vdv, modric etc and with the pace and movement to get on to through balls and stretch defences. And goal a shedload of goals. Not many who fit the criteria who are available and realistic.

He's (Harry) not lying and it's not a smokescreen. Been looking this way ever since he decided he didn't want Suarez.

Had a go for Rossi, sniffed around Forlan, tried to get Fabiano on loan. None were ever close.

Harry hasn't been able to make his mind up, been very half-hearted about targets. He should have said 'go and get X because with him we will finish top 4'. He let us start talking to Ajax and then decided he didn't want Suarez after all.
