If Wolves need to sell before the end of the current FFP year (June?) And some teams are hesitant to spend that amount before then, there could a window for us to nab him.
I just think the minute we raise our heads there will be many in for him. I can’t see us sneaking this in under the radar, he is too high profile for that. All the media are already on it. He’ll end up wearing red unfortunately

If you're thinking pool, maybe they don't have a manager in place by then? If you're thinking goons and UTD, aren't both skirting the FFP line, can't see either dropping 50-60m before that deadline

That’s as maybe, and I agree there is likely a window where would could have a crack at this. However much Wolves need the money though, they can’t force him to move before the cut off point. Plus there’s the euros to consider.

Wolves apparently want around £60m for him.

I think he would be worth it.

Neto completely revolutionises our attack

Really doesn’t say much. Wolves looking for club record fee and Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool all interested. Not really worth the click.

I don't see why securing a cut price permanent deal for Werner should affect a move for Neto as alluded top by the article but if that is the case then I'd sooner push to secure Neto first and if that means not getting Werner then so be it.

We are at the stage now in the squad building that we need bona-fide upgrades on the starting XI and Neto represents such a transfer.

I think beyond the basic info, ie Wolves looking for a club record fee in the region of 60 mil, its pretty much just guesswork and filler to pad out the article.

Neto is clearly a great player and would be a great fit for our system. But if the La Liga player we are eyeing is Nico Williams, I’d prefer him.

Younger, also a dynamic player capable of playing on both flanks, not a Mendes client, and culturally seems like a great fit for our spanish speaking group. His brother Inaki started over 250 straight games for Bilbao - gives me hope Nico will not struggle with serious injury either

It isn’t Williams, WLB said it was someone else.

The thing is I think goons because I think they’ll do some shenanigans and all will be ok. I know everyone seems to care about FFP but when it comes down to it teams seem to find a way out.

hmmm the problem is we know that this league provides a challenge to many moving here so I’d prefer someone who knows it and proven here.

How do Neto’s chance creation stats stack up next to Kulusevski?

I’m not sure he’s the clear upgrade people think he is. That’s not to say I don’t think he’d be a good signing, but at the same time I don’t think he’s the be all and end all. He would be another tool in the toolkit and probably offers that explosive dribbling and pace that Deki lacks.

I just think people need to be realistic on the kind of impact he will have.

He’s got 8 assists this year so without looking into comparing the two I don’t think it’s a worry in that sense

Neto stats to the left, Deki to the right.

But the thing is Neto can also play with Deki as Neto can play LW equally as well and Neto would indirectly make us more threatening and creative as a team too. His pace and dribbling threat would occupy the opposition more and open up gaps in other areas for us to exploit.

Putting all stats and deep analysis aside, for me the main point is that Neto scares opposition defences, and with good reason.

Plus he’s young enough to step up his end product even further, especially playing with better players.
