I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, or if it should, but evidently there is a gooner petition running with over 20,000 signatures against our development. It can't hurt to show that our fans are serious can it?

Support Tottenham Hotspurs Northumberland Development Project

Responsible department: Department for Communities and Local Government

The Northumberland Development Project is the building of a new state of the art stadium for Tottenham Hotspurs Football club and represents an investment of hundreds of millions of pounds into North Tottenham to create a world class regeneration with significant benefits for the local community, based around an iconic new stadium and exceptional public space. The designs cover a 20 acre area, bordered by Park Lane to the South, Worcester Avenue to the East, Northumberland Park to the North and Tottenham High Road to the West. It includes the site of the current ground and the industrial land to the North to create a larger area in which the new stadium can be built without the need to ground-share or move out of Haringey even for a temporary period. The club and local government need palimentary support to ensure this vital project becomes a reality and securs not only the future of THFC but also the surrounding wards and boroughs.

I know the argument in favour of the NDP but what, seriously, is the gooners' argument against it? It can't just be "if de spuds get a 60,000 stadium we'll fall behind 'em", can it?
Silly question, on reflection, of course it can.

Not signed - the last thing we need is £400 million more being backed up with public money on another capitalist project facilitating the transfer of wealth from poorer to richer in the first world.

Why'd you repeat the other petitions mistake and call us Tottenham Hotspurs?

My interest in this thread is in having this question answered.
I mean, WTF really has it got to do with them if we redevelop a site adjacent to our current ground
