Pav will definitely be leaving in Jan.
Stopped even trying in training, he will certainly be leaving the club- head has completely gone. From what I'm hearing Harry hasn't exactly been helping him, just best for everyone to now leave...Shame, hes a nice lad, but just one of those things that hasn't worked out. Wish him well.

He won't be playing tomorrow night then.

Hasn't really done it for us and certainly hasn't put the effort in for us when he has had the chance.
Just hope we can recoup around the £12m mark for him that can be invested in players who will really be making an impact on our starting 11,just like Niko!

As POTL says, it's definitely best for everybody involved that Pav finds a new club. From my own point of view, I don't feel any animosity towards Pav (like I have done for the likes of Campbell/Carr etc when they left Spurs), but I'm supremely unconcerned about the prospect of him leaving us. The money we'll likely get for him can buy you a whole lot more striker than he has ever shown to be with us. Darren Bent for a start.

I find it hard to wish someone the best when they're not putting in 100% for our club.

It's an unfortunate situation, especially if 'Arry's given up on him, but Pav is supposed to be a professional, and to stop trying in training is far from professional behaviour.

Am I misunderstanding, or are you suggesting we buy Darren Bent back with the Pav sale proceeds?

No, sorry, didn't make it clear. I don't advocate buying Bent back from Sunderland - his time with us has come and gone and both player and club have moved on - but I think (and have always thought) that Bent was a better striker than Pav, and seeing as we sold him for an initial £10m to Sunderland, he was the first example of getting more than Pav for probable Pav-level transfer sale fees that came to mind. I'm sure there are others who would fit the same description (Peter Crouch is another, but he's already here), and I think that Harry and the backroom staff will probably find one of them if they feel the need to replace an outgoing Pav in January.

I would prefer a young replacement if there is going to be a player coming in for the departing Pav. 4 accomplished strikers IMO just doesn't work as we have seen too frequently at Spurs over the last 5 years.

with Russia out of WC, he looks like not interested, but he should challenge himself for Tottenham & top four spot.

think it is the best for both to part, sadly ... i wish him well.

I think it's a shame really, could he really have done less than Crouch against Villa? Could he really have looked as anonymous as Keane has recently?

Has never had the chance IMO, well, hasn't had a decent run. If he had been given as many games as Keane after consistent poor performances I'm sure he would have done more.

I would be a lot more happy about seeing him leave if we gave him a run of games and saw that he really wasn't for us. I actually thought he and Defoe were starting to look good together before Defoe got injured last season.

Can't be angry one bit, what has he to be happy about? He's been completely frozen out, wish him the best.

Made me a very happy boy when he scored away at Burnley

EDIT: For the record I'm not hating on Keane, I'm actually a fan of Keane but am just not a fan of a lot of his performances recently.

Crouch was good against Villa, so probably yes.

Capiche! Kevin Davies? Rodallega? I'm sure there are a few out there.
