I'm always nervous before a big match but I honestly can't remember ever feeling it quite so intensely. This game is immense and it's absolutely crucial that we win. I don't even want to contemplate the possibility of a draw. I know that my fingers will be badly nibbled by the final whistle.

Please give loud cheers on my behalf you guys who will be there. I'm hoping for a decent stream tonight and will be with you in spirit as always.

It's on Sky Sports 2, so even if you don't have Sky, there should be plenty of good streams available. One word - YES!!!

Oh God. Can we not get into a fussy argument about whether this is "our biggest game".

For a lot of non-decrepid Spurs fans this is a massive game. Can't you understand that pretty much every Spurs fan under the age of 30 hasn't had a taste of anything remotely "big-time". If you were born 30 years ago, you may remember the 1991 Semi against the Goons - I don't and I was seven.

So can you please empathise with the younger element and realise that tonight's game is fucking massive for them. Yes we know you've all seen Glory Days, DC. We haven't. Let us have our day.

Yes I did see the 1960s glory days, but as you'll see from my post about this game I feel more nervous about this one than any in the past that I can recall.

I think it's because we've had such barren seasons and now have a real chance of more glory. I would hate to see it slip through our fingers when we're so very, very close.

Oddly enough, I didn't often feel so nervous way back then - perhaps with the optimism and cockiness of youth and feeling so sure we would win so much, and usually being right! It's so much more of a struggle nowadays and I know we can't under-estimate the importance of the game tonight.

I've been waiting since May 7th 2006 for this day. Almost 4 years to the day. This is our chance to put that dark day behind us once and for all.

I'm off work ill today, I actually suggested to my dad I'd rather go in to keep my minmd off the game. Sky Sports News are even treating this like a cup final. Making me so nervous, stress that I really don't need!

They really are, I've just turned it on and there was that "expert" Tony Gale slabbering about Man City's chances. And now the newsreaders are talking about the 4-3 in the cup that time. It's going to be like this all day.

Hope you're feeling better by kick off mate. And a lot better after the final whistle.

I was 17 yars old and lucky enough to be at the 91 Semi - what a day that was. My Grandad keeps talking up the Glory years of the 60's and the great nights at the Lane - they were special for all those involved and there to witness them.

This, today, tonight is OUR time. The start of a new dynasty, the start of a new era of success for our club. After years of mid table nothing, derby day tears, watching the biggest clubs in Europe fight it out in the premier cup competition. Missing out on players who could take our club forward, we finally have a chance to take that next brave step, the step our season deserves.

This IS our biggest ever game in the premier league, maybe not in our entire history - thats for each spurs fan to individually decide on. None the less, win tonight....... and I can promise you that it WILL feel like the biggest game in our history. COYS

Although this contradicts what i've just said in another thread, i'm not going to watch it i can't bear it. It's a good excuse in a way that i need to work anyway as i'm skint so i will listen on the radio. Well skint isn't strcitly true but after going away for the weekend i definitely need some cash.

32 here and I don't really remember much bigger than this.

I do remember the FA Cup final of 91, and being annoying in 87, but this match is huge, huger than huge. I don't remember being this nervouc about spurs playing ever.

Even the wife called me a weirdo last night for going on about it.

Chill out yo.

You have to accept that we could easily lose tonight. We havent won a single away game against teams in the top 9, so I see little reason why we should buck that trend tonight.

Get a bit of realism into your heads that it is quite likely we will lose here and the nerves seem to drain away.

Although we haven't won away to any of the top 9, we've only lost once to Man city in the prem era. These hoodoos can have a strange power and although they are eventually broken, I believe tonight is not the night (I'm only superstitious when it comes to football btw)

I'm 32 and I remember some big and tense games, but nothing which had the same future changing potential as this one.

I'm in Japan so it's already almost 8pm here an there's still another 8 hrs to go, already used up the distractors of work, porn, exercise and reading everything I can online about the game. Can't.take.it.anymore! This game has probably knocked a good 6 months off my life expectancy already!

I'm sh*tting it and struggling to work the same as the rest of you. But I don't think this is our biggest game ever in the Premier League. The West Ham game a few seasons back was. We could conceivably lose tonight and still do it. We could also draw and still f*ck it up. Doesn't change how much I'm bricking it though!

Jesus, listening to it on the radio would definitely give me a heart-attack.

To be honest, I don't really remember the '91 final and I was sixteen...probably because for a couple of years before that I'd discovered sex, drugs, rock and roll (well, raving) and alcohol, so for a few years my focus was directed away from football somewhat - plus the fact that some memories are rather hazy too. A large chunk of my younger years are a tad blurry!

There's not been many bigger games since, in my opinion, a couple of cup finals etc. but for some reason this games feels massive for me!
I really can't say why but this game's playing on mind mind more than that shitty West Ham games a few years back.
I'm a lot more nervous that I have been for some time. So much so, that I've turned down the wife's offer of escaping to the pub as I'd rather be alone, in a darkened room with my radio!
Having a 2 and a 3 year old kinda restircts my pub time so that's a big decision from me!

Maybe I've fallen victim to the media frenzy? Maybe it's because I'm not really used to having anything still to play for at this stage of the season?

It's strange and I'm scared!!!!!!

Yarp it's me.

I've never changed my pic so it shouldn't be too confusing.

I think having the word Arsenal in my name was offending people, and like i said to A&C it was doing my head in as everytime i see the word anywhere now i actually think it relates to me (and i'm not joking).

Who needs that? I could go insane.

So yep this is much better.
