Unless you have literally a fence of security guards all around the pitch, essentially a human fence, it won't stop it.
Tasers and a default 6 months getting passed around pentonville like a bag of toffees....let's see how funny Trollstation finds that.

Watching their video our stewards barely responded in the first instance. Only the guy in the suit was out there doing anything.

Security were shit last night, luckily it was a "prank" and no one got hurt. Seriously that first guy was on the pitch for ages before a guy in a suit ran on, the orange bibs just sat like idiots looking on. Second half I said to my dad "just look at security, all facing the pitch not the crowd" They need an arse kicking for last night debacle. Watch UEFA fine us more than thy did Lazio for being racist.

The potential level of danger of pitch invaders is higher than racial chanting. Both are despicable and have no place in a football stadium. Anyone of those three could easily have had a knife or similar and any number of our or their players could of been in serious danger. I appreciate that sounds like an over reaction but it will happen at some point whether in the UK or overseas...

For three pitch invaders I think we deserve a fine. Whether we can deflect that onto Bassbuds or these other idiots is another matter. Technically the terms of their tickets should make them liable.

The second point was referring to your dig about us not paying our security staff enough? Is that a fact?....do we pay less than other clubs?.....seems like a dig mate.
Okay, I'll take that one on the chin, I don't know how much we pay let alone if it's the going rate, I fell into the trap of trotting out a cliche, I can see I'm going to have to choose my words more carefully when talking to you ;) Hopefully it was minimum wage because they weren't even worth that on the evidence of last night and my own previous experience.

If you can bear to, go onto the Trollstation youtube channel and see the reaction of the police when one of the trolls tries to light a firework near the Houses Of Parliament. Their reaction was instant and controlled. I'm not saying we need a paramilitary force around the perimeter, but guys who can act instantly and bring a situation under control has to be a better option than what we saw last night. Quality staff rather than a quantity of staff is what I'm getting at I suppose.

It might even spread to our midfield! ;)

There is a problem and I bet Sunday will see no (or minimal) stewards looking at the pitch. They will no doubt be getting an arse kicking and drills about what happens when someone does raid the pitch.

They spend too much time talking to each other, watching the game and asking fans to sit down to do anything of actual use. Does anyone remember the Europa games when the Polish fans were all sat in the home section? They were useless then as well.

Very satisfying to see Dembélé bring that third guy down. It was a comedy of errors from the stewards - you would have thought they were trying to bring down Manu Tuilagi rather than some random Arse fans.

I agree, my comment about the fine was flippant. I expect that there'll be a big meeting this morning about the lack of any intervention by the hi vis coat lot. If I was a player I'd be fuming. Jut glad the ref didn't be a dick and book Dembele when he brought the invader down. A Greek player got sent off for doing similar a few years back

It is shocking, I think it should be considered self defence. Reasonable force should be allowed to be executed. The funny thing is we will definitely get fined more for the invasions than they did for their sign!

If you can bear to, go onto the ****station youtube channel
Theres no way I'm doing that, its exact what these chancers want.
Personally Id insert them, and the company they were advertising into the SC's swear filter so that it wouldn't even be visible and would appear as ********* etc.
I wonder if this is a consideration @Rob ?
Everyones on here repeating their name, that companies name, and as i said, this is exactly what they want.
The ****s.

Unfortunately, they breed faster

Agreed! Castration a step too far?! ;-)

I really hope the club takes them down; this derivative Dom Joly style b*llshit was mildly amusing 15 years ago. It's just f*cking pathetic now. Sadly, it's pretty much what passes for culture these days.

And with that sentence I have passed into middle age at 33 years old... :)

They were exactly the same when Benfica fans were sat amongst us. "Sit down, sit down!" How's about you do your bloody job properly. But that's what happens when you pay peanuts I guess.

They've not been doing that all season. At least not at the games I've been to.

Anyway, what a trio of massively unfunny bellends. Hopefully the FA will get involved and give them all nationwide stadium bans.

On another note, perhaps this incident will give the club more incentive to make proper price reductions on tickets for games like this. This game was never going to sell out at £25 a ticket (a massive £7 reduction for South and North lower tiers) and going on general sale just makes it easier for stunt twats to get tickets. Make it £10 for North and South, £15 for East and West stands and we might have been close to filling the ground.

Being even lower will invite more people like this to take a shot. Oh its only £10 lets turn up drunk do something stupid and get chucked out... only a tenner!

My immediate reaction is the stewards are fucking shit, they are out of shape.
As for those 3 guys I think people are overreacting, yeah they shouldn't have done it, but for them to get a prison term for that would be complete bollocks, people escape prison terms for doing a lot worse than that.
Uefa of course will probably hammer us more than the clubs with supporters indulging in racist behaviour, which is fucking typical of them.

Agreed re: stewards. That fat fella that got on was made to look far too nimble.

As for punishment, I think both Spurs and Bassbuds will go to town on them. Can you see Levy letting this drop if we're sanctioned by UEFA? Bassbuds can't be happy either, what with reputation and brand etc being compromised!

I hope they get sued out of business. If our club suffers for it, we should take them to Court.

Perhaps we should anyway.

Well that would be one time where I would support Levy, I think if we get too big a fine he will react too.
I think Bassbuds might be pleased actually, the vast majority of supporters were applauding the invaders who were not violent, free publicity for them.

I remember when coppers stood around the pitch. We had to pay for it, but for all kinds of reasons it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring them back again.

I suppose there aren't enough to do football duty these days though.

One of my nephews does security work, including concert arenas and football stadiums. They wouldn't have got away from him if he'd been there. At the very least, trained security men would be a good idea to deal with any kind of crowd trouble when it arises.
