7 games in February. 4 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. It would have been a pretty bad month if we didn't win the last 3 games of the month.

Gareth Bale won the January poll in the most one sided poll ever. Here are the top five players from last month:

1. Gareth Bale - 128 votes (81.53%)
2. Wilson Palacios - 11 votes (7.01%)
3. Heurelho Gomes - 5 votes (3.18%)
4. Robbie Keane - 3 votes (1.91%)
5. Kranjcar/Dawson - 2 votes (1.27%)

Voters: 157

Player of the month:

Bale still seems to need reminding he has to defend once in a while, hence picking the red hot Super-Pav for Feb. He's had to endure a lot of splinters in his arse up until now and, given his chance, he's really taken it.

Has to be young Gareth again, Pav came on the scene too late to be a serious challenge.

Clearly its Bale. Modric has started to hit form in the last couple of games. I expect him to take the award for March.

It has to be Bale again.

Pav and Luka complete the podium.

Agreed. Bale has had another very good month but Pav's 5 goals in 2 and a bit games of a very important week have ensured we have plenty to look forward to this month. With all the pressure that has been building on the lad I have to go for him for coming up trumps.

Agree with Rss, Bale needs to concentrate on his defending more and concidering this is his main job as a LB he needs to improve a bit more too.

I really can't believe some people are on Bale's back still about defending, without him over the last two months I think we would be out of the champs league race completely he has been are main and sometimes sole source of attacking threat. Bale gets it for me by a country mile.

bale hands down.

great 5 goals from pav but that is not enough to warrant player of the month, over the course of all the games bale has been top performer

Pav for me. Bale's been fantastic, but goals have dried up a little bit for us recently and Pav seems to have come in and rejuvenated us up front after we were stagnating with Crouch in the team. Can't fault him, he's been brilliant despite being treated like crap all year.

If it was the last week, Pav would have it hands down. Gone for Bale again

This. It's like having two new signings with Bale and Pav playing so well.

If I was picking the team, they would have been playing a lot earlier. Makes me wonder where we'd be if Harry had of had've had the same opinion. :bang:

That, on top of injuries to Modric, Lennon, Woody and King makes you wonder just what might have been given a bit of luck

Pav for me, 5 goals in 3 games is season changing stuff. Bale has been brilliant too though.

Bale, been consistently our best player in most games since he has come into the side. Really pleased that Pav is even in contention for being our player of the month though.
