Jose feeling the usual anti spurs media shit, welcome to our world. Media Slagging us off for trying to not get hammered by the best team on the planet with all our problems.

But i believe his tactics were spot on and the best chance we had of ''nicking'' something ...yes nicking something at home is where we are atm and we must wake up and realise its where we are be it injuries, lack of form or bad management over the last year or so.

Jose plan was to keep us in the game untill the final 20 and then have a go, to try and do that from the start may have resulted in a spanking.

Team did ok, standouts the new kid, Sanchez, Moura

Jose has a big job here.

This is exactly it. Jose had a plan and threw the 2 Argentines in last 20 mins in the hope of nicking something. He made clear that they (and the team) could not maintain that kind of intensity for longer, unlike Liverpool.

Jose is pragmatic and I think with more tools, he will steer us through this trough.

He is a great coach , not a magician.

I agree with you, if he is backed ,Jose will sort us out.

My heart says levy will , my head says mmmm.

GazZa- 7.5 some decent saves but average distribution at times
Sanchez - calm used his pace pretty well 7.5
Tanganga - should have been playing long ago will only get better 8
Toby - did his job most of the time 6
Aurier - some good crosses but poor recovery and average defending 6
Rose - obviously not fit did an ok job 5
Winks - lack of vision gets caught too often 5
Eriksen - half the player he use to be playing out of position does not help 4
Lucas - works hard but he needs a good attacking coach to explain to him how to use his pace lacks vision also always seems rushed 6
Son - he is not good enough on the ball to play as a winger rarely beats a man or gets a decent cross in, missed good chance 5
Dele - if he is not played as a second sticker or attacking mid he is kind of pointless 4
Lamela - got into some decent positions if only he had vision and clinical shot 6
Lo Celso- showed glimpses of being a player should have scored 7

Stopped reading at ' Rose did an ok job 'as I fell off my chair.

Only saw MotD highlights but it looked like we were much more aggressive and playing with intent than recent games. I fucking love Lamela. Think he will thrive under Jose if he can stay fit.

Feel for Lo Celso, what a chance that was.

Far too much back passing tonight rather than trying to influence the game going forward - chose the easy backwards option virtually every time which meant there was no outlet for the defence.

No agenda at all as I’d love to see one of our academy graduates do well, but at the moment I’d rather it was Skipp played rather than Winks on recent performances.

If there are no players making runs, players standing static very close to another and all pretty much pressed up against can you blame the lad for making a safe pass. I agree we need it forward but you have to look at in perpspective, this is not becuase im either pro or against winks , its just a fact, look at toby wailing his arms hes got no one to pass too either, Eriksen does the exact same thing he passes back or sideways backwards, even Jan last few games he has played can be seen with same gesutures as no where to pass too.

Moura deserves a special mention work fiercely hard, he led from the line, pressed properly all game with intent and was the catapult to many of our attacks or threats, he was superb and should be very proud, he made Son (who i love) look like a lazy beleaguered muppet

I do feel for Lo Celso but the positive take is that he got into that position in the first place and created the opportunity by reading the play and getting himself in amongst it. I don't remember Eriksen doing anything similar in that area in his entire Spurs career.

This take on Winks has been repeated so often now that people repeat it as gospel. It has been proven before that Winks makes no less backwards (or short) passes than anyone else in our midfield, bar a firing Ndombele. It’s become a cliche that is trouped out.

Winks was excellent second half. A lot braver on the ball and looked to progress us forwards with his passing. His energy and work rate were both impressive considering the fact he was playing central midfield on his own before Lo Celso came on.

A lot of Winks negativity. I thought he had a fair game. Kudos to JT and Dave in defence. Moura worked his socks off. I thought Mourinho got it right. Lamela and GLC changed the game. On another day this result could have been different.

Gazzaniga - 7 made some good saves
Sanchez - 8 looked really good and composed alongside Toby
Tanganga - 8 great debut looked just how he did in pre season and a couple of years back, a real positive from the match 8
Toby - 7 I think he looks better being the old head in the defence with younger apprentices alongside him 7
Aurier - 7 good going forward, and his passes in the final third were better, benefiting from a run of games under Jose.
Rose - 3 looked like the ability he had has left him and he is left with his wayward moments and brainfarts. Sell or loan out immediately
Winks - 7 looked good, receives the ball so well under pressure and is turning into a real fighter in the middle for us. Would be coveted by us if he played for another team in the prem.
Eriksen - 2 just looks like he doesn't want to get hurt or something, was like having 10 men on the field, just getting in the way of team mates, almost inadvertently helping the scousers out more than ourselves at times
Lucas - 8 brilliant, must have been fouled in the triple figures, really good tight ball control and runs in little space
Son - 6 not his usual self in front of goal
Dele - 6 put himself around and about in the first half but at times i saw him stroll back when i would want to have seen him WAY MORE committed to wanting to win the ball for the team, like all of the scouse midfield do
Lamela - 7 looked good in his cameo again
Lo Celso - 7 looked very good in his cameo, these minutes will be giving him and the team confidence

Rose and Eriksen really need to go this window. They have helped us in the past but they are hindering the team now. Rose was embarrassing at times and Eriksen has been beyond that for a long time, yes he has kinda stepped up a couple of occasions when needed this season but it isn't really doing anyone any good playing him anymore.

Yeah I agree.
I don't remember Eriksen missing what amounted to an open goal from a yard out in his entire Spurs career either
