And Lamela is our second top goal scorer .What's Eriksen got to do with it?
Kane got 2 goals, Alli got 2 assists. What did Lamela get?
Your post said stated Lamela gives the ball away to much, the stats say otherwise.

Erm, I'm not sure I agree with that at all. If say a Japanese company opened up offices here to take advantage of our market and brought over every single employee from Japan without interviewing British people, I'd say that was cause for complaint.I agree with all of that and I did say much the same in my post, but there's still this massive bullshit/reality discrepancy narrative going on that is hard to listen to, whether it's other team's players or our own, and as @JUSTINSIGNAL said, this is a very "English media, English player" thing.
It's like that stuff we kept having to listen to constantly about "how great it is that Poch is giving young "English" players a chance".
If you were watching the news and you heard a reporter interviewing the head of corporation, bank, supermarket chain say "it's great that you are giving English people jobs" you'd be fucking disgusted (unless you're Nigel fucking Farage obviously).
I want a coach who gives chances purely on merit, not on nationality.
And I wonder how players like Veljkovic, Bentaleb feel when the hear this constant xenophobic rhetoric.
I doubt you would be disgusted hearing that if only 35% of supermarket workers were English (whilst having English workers wanting to do the job).I agree with all of that and I did say much the same in my post, but there's still this massive bullshit/reality discrepancy narrative going on that is hard to listen to, whether it's other team's players or our own, and as @JUSTINSIGNAL said, this is a very "English media, English player" thing.

Yeah, they always have their favorites and pundits annoy me 100x more than they ever inform. Alli and Kane are definitely on their favorites list but Lamela seems to be the player they love to hate, it's like they made their minds up about him in the first season and are sticking to that no matter what.I'm just watching Sky's highlights of the game. 8 minutes in Lamela plays Kane clean through - Pundit: "I thought Lamela played the wrong ball there". One minute later Alli fucks up trying to play Lamela in - Pundit: "Lovely ball back from Alli, Alli's such a classy player".
34 minutes Alli runs the ball into their defender when in a great position - Commentator: "Delli Alli, lovely feet".
Look, we all know Alli is capable of good stuff. His a 19yo who clearly has buckets of potential and if he fulfils it he will be at the very least another Lampard/Gerrad type influence (I know they were very different players) but at the moment he's earning his place with moments, character and presence and by virtue of the fact that other options are the work shy Chadli, the erratic Son or the 18yo Onomah and some of the pundit hyperbolic bollocks is really ludicrous. For the majority of todays game he definitely wasn't the messiah, he was a very naughty boy, but every game I watch now, pundits are telling us Alli is brilliant whether he's shit, brilliant or indifferent.
And Lamela is our second top goal scorer .

Bumbling around losing the ball!. Thats a bit unfair.
He created two assisted goals...lets think about that a minute and we look much better attacking wise with him in the team.
I have to say expectation are now ultra high with our supporters
That's the dispossessed stat.Thank the lord for stats. I said he gets caught in possession too much, not that he gives it away. Which is true.
Feel free to throw some stats at me for that..
That's the dispossessed stat.
I'm assuming you read that one.
again it proves you wrong
I watch all the games to and to many times I fall into the trap of seeing a player make a mistake and generalising there play on that incident.I'm not a statto to be honest buddy. I just watch the games.

.
Football to me is more than just a game or a business, it's social, it binds communities, and it is important that young kids from this country can dream and aspire to playing in the PL.
I doubt you would be disgusted hearing that if only 35% of supermarket workers were English (whilst having English workers wanting to do the job).
I don't see the issue with English media being glad that English players are given a chance in a league (or industry) that has a reputation for over looking them (whether true or not).
Which English players are not in the team on merit but just picked because they are English?

@Blake Griffin does I think.Walker was epic, out of interest does anyone keep a tally of who wins these polls? Would be an interesting thread, I am too lazy to start it!
Looking forward to see the final tally come the end of the season, assuming all of the ratings threads are accessible.@Blake Griffin does I think.

Spot on. And his assist for 2nd goal was meant for lamela.I'm calling it as I see it - and I like him as a player - but he lost the ball a ridiculous amount of times(there are stats to back this up). To me it doesn't matter if he's 19 or 29 if he's not playing well, then he's not playing well.
As I've said, fans perception get influenced by the young English player love in hyped up by the media.
Alli is hugely talented but yesterday he didn't play anywhere near as well as has been reported.
Really?
Then your not watching properly.
Lamela and Eriksens dispossessed and unsuccessful touches are exactly the same.
Dele and Harry have more unsuccessful touches and are dispossessed more than Lamela and Eriksen.
Here's the actual stats

FWIW, both Alli and Kane said after the game that the ball was meant for Kane, not Lamela.Spot on. And his assist for 2nd goal was meant for lamela.
I like the lad but people here are super overhyping him.
