There was a lovely moment yesterday towards the end of the match where Davies went in 50/50 with either Rooney or Rashford and blasted the ball off the right side of the pitch whilst the united player bottled it. Love his commitment to a tackle and his energy. Never going to be Danny Rose going forwards but uses the ball intelligently and offers a pass and presence.

I wish we'd let him take corners from the left, or at least have Eriksen take them all short to him.

Biggest compliment you can give is we haven't really missed Rose. Early on Davies had a tough ride but with a run of games he's got better each week and shuts that left side down very well. Superb delivery yesterday - been a few of those that haven't been converted so he was due one to be nodded in.

We have but just not as much as we would have expected. Rose will be back in the starting eleven next season.

Credit to Davies - but I think Poch deserves some credit also. As Davies got a run of games we switched tactics, slightly - not relying on Davies to make big runs up the wing - instead he would play more as a wide midfielder than a winger, and we also brought Vertonghen more into play on the left side (than when Rose was playing).

Davies has done great recently for us and we missed him in that cup semi.

I just think that he may struggle a bit more at Wembley where he might get more exposed to pace. Still i'd imagine Rose will play the majority of games and no harm in having Davies coming in for him on the odd occasion.

Unbelievable progression. A big part of our best run of games in decades. Credit to him - keeps it simple, is brave, strong and whips in a lovely cross.

What is your point? He has played well recently and i've rightly praised him for it?

Well done.

My point is and was he has played well before, not just the last few games.

You were obviously too emotional to recognise this when you were basically declaring him as never having played a good game for us in the aftermath the Liverpool match. Funny how opinions change when we put together a few wins - the hyperbolic nonsense then just becomes a distant memory...

Underrated player. Both Atlético Madrid and Chelsea were linked to him last year. Can also play LCB if we need but his height will be an issue.

One example of where I like to have been proved wrong. I didn't rate him at all and went as far and said he wasn't even good enough to be 2nd choice LB for us. This guy has come leaps and bound over the last few months due mostly I believe as a result of an extended stint. I will be eating my words which will dosed with jerk seasoning!

Post-Rosegate, the cheers that Davies should get at Chelsea and Burnley will raise that silly arch.
