Another mention of Fati (@What Lies Beneath ahead of the curve as usual) link to Johan Bakayoko and seems we won’t be looking at a striker as a priority.
I just find it odd as earlier in the week itk was saying Ange wanted Johnson. Now the overall tone of potential transfer has been negative from day 1 and now all of a sudden it’s a “Levy signing” to further create negativity around Levy and Johnson.
Let it go now and let’s discuss things like grown ups and accept that different people have different opinions about different things. If people don’t like Levy it’s legally allowed. All fair points but surely seeing a few sporadic posts from me isn’t as boring as every thread being turned into an anti-levy doom spiral - which has happened to the majority of threads on here?
Such a good and important point.Ange has a lot more power over “club signings” as he has a 4 year contract. Conte had less than 12 months to run when Spence signed so whether conte liked him or not the club wanted him in.
Because he ain't playing in another league, for a club few of us watch, so can't be hyped up by posters, or stats.I’m not really sure why people dislike Johnson so much. He isn’t the flashiest player but he’s very effective. He’s a solid rapid, strong has good technique striking a ball and at his age I think he makes a lot of good decisions in the box.
Obviously not the finished article and I think the money is too much but I think he’d be a great addition to the squad and really offer us something different to Deki.
Maybe.Or maybe Levy doesn’t want to pay the release clause . Or maybe Levy likes Johnson more because we can get a deal including deadwood.
Yeah I don’t imagine Ange will be a pushover for anyone. Pretty sure he can look after himself and hold his corner.People get so emotional and repetitive on here without knowing the full facts, it’s happened all window .
Ange himself has said expect some movement, he’s said there is a need to be flexible and fluid during a transfer window and that by the end of it he’s sure we will have the majority of what he wanted.
I get that Levy meddling in the past etc has screwed us but I trust this time that Ange will be very clear and realistic in what he wants and that all will be ok.
Whilst I get the comparison I don’t think it quite works as he obviously developed in the English system. Reasons why I think Isak is a great example is because he obviously came from less physical leagues. Anyway I don’t want to derail the thread but overall I just think he should be given a proper chance to adapt before we sell him off. The fact he has been injured for a large portion of Ange’s tenure is extremely unfortunate for him. I just hope he doesn’t get tied into the Johnson deal unless it’s a loan without option. Also maybe Foden?

I love it when the SC admin go rogue several times in one window.I love when posters have to do all sorts of gymnastics to argue for still believing what they think even if manager/player/club whoever says otherwise.
Great commitment.
For what it’s worth PSG as of this evening are close to agreeing a €25 mil deal for Bakayoko apparently so if he even is on our list that would be one to strike off.
They also have Kang-In who can play there. Would be crazy if they go for him but also wouldn’t surprise me at all. They've signed Dembele & Assensio who both play on the right. Apparently very confident on Kolo Muani who can play there too (considering they've committed £70m for Goncalo Ramos to play striker).
Be surprised if Bakayoko joins PSG

There are now a very small minority of clubs that just hoard players. It’s super unhealthyMy god, how many attacker's do PSG need??
