Bet this doesn’t happen unless/until we move some players on. All the outgoings seem to have stalled so I’m pessimistic of us doing anything else this window.

This transfer window has got that desperate I’ve gone from thinking Johnson would be an ok squad player/help with homegrown status to thinking this has to be done at any cost.

I still can’t quite believe that we have sold our best player and our main plan was Brennan Johnson. It defies belief really. But it is what it is I guess.

I have to agree with Mokbel, it is ridiculous that this hasn't been concluded sooner.

It's clear that there is a deal to be done here and it is also clear he is our priority.

Get it right down the line and then deal with outgoings otherwise the player and others may think we aren't serious enough

I don't think that is true - it requires a share purchase - which had not taken place at the end of the last fiscal year, and I don't think it has been done since Uncle Joe got done in NY.

We also had reports that the option to purchase more shares expired at the end of the year. It wasn't clear if that was the end of the calendar year or the fiscal year - but either way, it had not taken place by the end of either.

I’m pro-Johnson. Explosive player that looks to have the toolkit Ange likes in a winger. Think he can be coached to be a real asset in his system and would be a proper young HG-competitor for Kulu.

That being said, signing a quality CB should 100% take precedent.
