I don't see why it's good if Spain exit? He won't be starting so a great experience for him to improve as will need to bed in at spurs anyway and a while until we have cup games Europe etc where he'll get a chance so good to get the experience now particularly if it's tournament football with pressure.

Japan / Tomiyasu on the other hand need to exit the tournament asap
Gives him time to isolate if needed and more time with the squad and Nuno.

Fecking typical! We've got(ish) two players in the olympics and they're both going all the way to the final. :)

Good the more players we have coming in as winners the better. Yes they might not be ready for the season start, but we are going through a rebuild. It 100% has to be about the long term.

I wouldn't mind if they faced eachother in the final.
But I don't think Gil will be starting any games unless there are injuries or suspensions

I don't know if the draw keeps them separate until the final but Right back vs Left winger...

You know it's written that in the final The Japanese lad ;) cuts Gil in half then his move breaks down :cautious: (or even more Spursy in the bronze medal match )
