I think we should sell him. With respect, he's not going to get the game time he needs to improve, so if there are any suitors now, we should sell. Worst case, loan.

But he clearly won't play, in particular with Solomon coming back. So best for all parties to part ways
Yeah no point in Gil if Solomon comes back and Jota comes in.

A rare dropped bollock from Paratici. Especially giving them Lamela as well. We'd have been in a much better place keeping that £25m and having Erik still around.
For 5 games a season? When we signed Gill I can’t recall one person that didn’t like the deal. He has been a victim of the lack of direction at the club.

He has not been a victim. He just has not been able to convince the managers that he deserves more minutes.

He has good qualities but they're all rendered null and void because he can't handle the physicality, he doesn't know how to position his body to win free kicks.

Selling him is the best outcome.

He reminds me of a child joining in with adults
Muscled off the ball Easily
Slower than the adults
Can’t hit a strong cross or pass with any power
Good Skills but just not grown up enough to Play with adults yet

Energy wise he is always good but he just doesn't seem to have the strength or skill to make it. It's not to say that smaller players can't make it, Modric played out wide to start, David Silva similar in size but he just seems to make the wrong decision more often than not.
