Hang on. Contract until June 2025? What’s the relevance there? We’ve only loaned him for the season haven’t we?

Just started reading the thread from the start. This seems spot on with how Kane has been used last few matches.
People should read this thread from the start. Some of the early comments are beyond embarrassing. Compare that to the euphoria in the last 10 or so pages.

Gonna have a looksie as to just how many YT reliant, bipolar dildo's we have knocking about in here.

We have an option to make it permanent for €42m so I guess we've pre agreed to 2025 should we make it permanent

Which Google says means:

BENFICA SAD

COMMUNICATES

Sport Lisboa e Bentica Futebol, SAD informs, under the terms and for the purpose of the provisions of article 248RA of the Portuguese Securities Code, it has reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the loan from ogador Carlos Vinicius until the end of the 2020 sports season / 21 for an amount of € 3,000,000 (three million euros) The agreement includes a call option in the amount of € 45,000,000 (forty-one million euros), which, if exercised , the amount paid for the loan will be deducted. More is said that the aforementioned is dependent on the signing of the player's sporting employment contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

That's not quite right. The PL does not specifically prohibit the use of any particular number or set an upper limit, but the rules state "Save with the prior written consent of the Board shirt numbers shall commence with the number one and shall be allocated consecutively".

So the only ways CV could have 95 on his back is if we either allocate all the other numbers up to and including 94 to the players we already have, or we get the Premier League's written approval.

The full rules are on p189 of the PL Handbook, which you can download from here: https://www.premierleague.com/publications
Did you see the state of the Liverpool numbers last night? No problem I reckon.

So it looks like he's schedule to have a medical today and we now have the striker/forward we needed (subject to a medical and WP).
It has been a very successful transfer market for us if we sign him and a CH.

I must say im impress.
Qualified for QF Carabao Cup
Qualified for group stage Europa
Signed Bale

Work permit is done. All that's left is medical and signing of the contract.

He might be decent, he might be shit (he'll probably be somewhere in between). I have never watched him play and have no clue whatsoever (though there are a few worrying signs, Monaco and Napoli) but very little to lose in this deal and while a striker was definitely a priority signing I never felt we really needed a super top player for that position, particularly as Son is actually a very good N.9, we just someone with a good presence about him that can contribute in a positive way.

What I will say is people always get excited about signings when they get close. Particularly if they are not English and they know little about them. It's quite funny to watch really!

I always try to temper my excitement with signing I’ve not actually watched play a decent amount because for every Berbatov there’s a Pavlyuchenko but everything about this guy both on highlights and statistically really encourages me.

You really could have found a worse example than Super Pav. I'd be not too disappointed if Vinicius is delivering similar stats as back up 9.
