Quality back up! Llorente did a job but this guy looks like someone you would be fine with in the starting 11. Well done Jose.

So glad he’s the one we signed. Maybe not the most flash, but clearly got everything you’d want between the ears for just role in the squad.
Exactly this. Used to being a sub for more than half a season with benfica. Learning his story and his path to where he is today gives me confidence he knows not to waste any moment and he seems grateful to be here. Love him so much already, and he had the ability to back it up.

When he gets a run of games then his finishing will improve, as well his timing of his runs behind the defence. It's difficult for him to get that due to Kane and Son, but even when he hasn't been scoring, he has looked lively, holds the ball up well, hss clever movement etc.

His hold up play is magnificent. Brilliant first touch, strong, aggressive everything you want in a front man.

low-key: i think we are sitting on gold here. I said it earlier in the thread, I don't see him as a backup, he's too good for that. I think he should be playing as a No.9 in our best 11, with Kane playing behind him as a No.10.

I'm really not sure how anybody can criticise his start thus far.

And I include Jose in that when he hauled him.off at HT.

So happy for him with 2 goals, 1 assist and a great all round performance. Really looking forward to CV coming on and HK dropping into a deeper role at some point. Think that's a great option to have.

Once the tricky run of fixtures is out of the way I can see him getting a few league starts around Christmas/New year. Off the top of my head I think we have Fulham, Leeds and Sheffield United in succession, it wouldn't surprise me if he started one or two of those.

I really like what I see but to really judge him I need more of a look at him against real opponents.

He took his goals and assist really well but even Scarlett could have scored a brace in the last 10 minutes against this pub side.

Time will tell us, but I have a good feeling.
