And this is the reason quite a few of us were crying out for a playmaker last summer to give him serious competition/option off our bench yet we ended up with Nkoudou & Moussa fucking Sissoko.

Oh how we laughed when the dippers rated Coutinho over him..... Who's laughing now :(

He's out of form more often than he's in form, and that's what concerns me.
I see it differently.
Still unbeaten in the league and he's part of the squad that's got us there.
Can he be rotated?
Yes as will the whole squad.
May is judgment time for me.

Nah, Coutinho's still very overrated- he goes missing as much as Eriksen.

Called him out a few games into the season and i got called clueless.

Or then it was the contract talks were on his mind.

No its simply his mentality he has no fire or aggression to drive himself on to be the great player his talent deserves sadly.

I can't even remember the last time he actually excited me his free kicks are even awful these days and he knows it as hes even giving them up now

Time to cash in and send him on his Spanish/Italian tour?

Shocking that certain posters still have him in the team every week, regardless of how piss poor he has been. Talk about clueless.

For me he has a weak mentality he's always had it ask Ajax fans when things are not going his way he goes into his shell. He never dominates games just drifts in and out of them great number 10's can change a game or control a game sadly he normally falters to do either.

Did anyone see him duck out of the header of the edge of palace is box on Saturday? Was a joke didn't challenge for it just wimped out of it even Kane had a go at him.

If you compare him with someone for example like lamela or Alli even if it isn't going their way they will put themselves about and be a nuisance still because they have a better mentality and want to change how their performance is going through hard work.

To me it seems Eriksen has been cuddled and protected from a young age and Is used to people telling him how great he is even when he doesn't preform. I don't know what it is I have seen people even question his passion which at times I can understand he just seems to be a bit of live in his own world type maybe he needs to add some aggression.

He's the definition of a luxury player on his day he's sensational but honestly over the last 3 seasons how many of his days as he had? Added up I would say 20 games where he's been a 7+.

I personally think he needs to be dropped for a few games maybe just to ignite him or get him out his comfort zone. Recently I have just realised he seems to frustrate me more than any of our players always seems to duck out of tackles headers. I know he's not exactly a physical beast but at least give a challenge a go he's infuriating he's a luxury player that's probably not doing enough to earn his luxuries at the moment.

The other huge problem is his role in the team at the moment what is it? Is he our playmaker or is he our left winger?. I know all 3 tend to interchange but I'm just not sure if it suits Eriksen i think he's more effective as a fixed 10 that's not drifting into wide areas as when he goes out wide he doesn't have the power or pace to beat a man it normally results in us losing possession.

A choice needs to be made somewhere along the lines of him or Alli.

We either play dele deeper and move Eriksen back to number 10. If Dele is to be played as a number 10 I think it's probably better we leave Eriksen go then spend the 30 million or so on a genuine creative left sided player.

He always does seem to score or come alive in bursts but it's the time in his career where he either needs to make the step into being a top player and do more or become a more consistent luxury player.

For some reason he's one of those players our fans seem to overhype and get defensive off but recently I am seeing more and more fans turn on him or we finally realising he's not what we think he is? Or are we finally demanding he pushes himself to become better. He's the one that always gets excuses made for him or he's the one of those players the fans deem untouchable along with Hugo & Harry.

I hope I'm proved wrong but he needs to do more. If not I will happily let him go off to Italy to be totti's replacment which is something he's always had his eyes on.

Again here are my thoughts on him and it still stands for me its a shame as he has all the talent in the world

Interesting that last season his free kick stats where something like 2 successful in 25 or thereabouts..I'm sure that so far this season that has not improved...So surely management must be aware of this..and at the least let someone else start taking them?

Yep. I was one that was champing at the bit for us to sign that kind of player. A game changer, a player that could get bums of seats and put some real pressure on the likes of Eriksen.

Sissoko is not that player and looks like a panic signing. Although he can be a big game player for us.

Nkoudou, who I think will prove to be a very canny signing was never going to be ready to challenge.

It looks like another 'close but no cigar' window for me. Like I said before.

Having said that I just don't know who was realistically gettable in the summer.

Not many clubs can have a transfer window where they get all the players they need in every position, we got Wanyama in position we needed, we got Janssen as a number 2 to Kane, both who have been excellent additions. As for Sissoko, let's give the guy a run of games and let him find fitness before branding him a joke (which is awful for fans when he has just joined - short memories from his good perforamnce against City). We do some pretty great things in the window. Isco would have been the icing on the cake, if we can somehow go all out for him then it would be beautiful.

Eriksen, i just don't know anymore, it seesm with each season that goes by he becomes less and less of a goal threat, his freekicks get worse, i genuinely used to remeber everytime we had a direct freekick i would be so excited to see him stepping up to take it, now with every FK and corner i literally yawn as i know it will do nothing. It's actually quite shocking how bad he has become in the final third, when he used to be deadly.

Add to that, the bottled tackles, the lack of invention or taking risks, i honestly think he should be quite far from our starting 11. Complete passenger these days and embarassing that Alli gets taken off instead of him.
