Eriksen does a shit ton more defensive work than players Like Özil, Payet and Coutinho. Eriksen has to be our Modric and is responsible for starting our attacks. He will often be the player with most touches of the ball. He also has to score and assist and he is up there with the best in the league at his position(LM/CAM). Furthermore he has to run a lot and do a lot of pressing in Pochettinos system. Way more than your regular CAM. Not only that but he always plays 90 minutes in almost every game.

While i'm not that into statistics, Eriksen is alround better than all those other LM/CAMs. I'll take him over any CAM in the league.

If we were to lose any player we want to keep to utd this preseason we might as well give up and pack up. Surely couldn't expect our top players to swap to a side not in CL?

I think we should tap up their players...lets start with Martial and Rashford. Do the old Fergie thing of offering a low figure just to f*ck with their minds.;)

It won't really work because other than CL football we can't offer them anything they don't already have at Man U. When Man U used to tap our players up it with usually with the carrot of offering to double wages and immediately challenge for the title etc..

I posted this in another thread

Eriksen now I know he scored a few goals, and a few vital ones, he also was 1 of the top assisters in the PL, but one of his main assets in his 1st 2 seasons was his free kicks. I might be old and forgetful here, but I can't remember the last time he took a free kick from a dangerous position and actually either scored or forced the keeper into a brilliant save? and I know he has a few assist from corners/set pieces, but overall his distribution on them hasn't been as good, perhaps he just doesn't like the ball used this season, or been trying too hard. I kind of hope if Pritchard is retained and not loaned out, he has the same effect Davies has had on Rose.

is it just me that feels like this.

No news of his new contract yet, wasn't he credited with saying Poch signing would encourage him to do likewise. Kin nervous about Christian and Erik tbh. Both were cornerstones last season, and allowing either to run down their contracts wouldn't make sense... ominously no itk whispers either.

Lamela will be with the Argues in the States,,but Eriksen has the summer off right? Sign you bustard.

Didn't he score two free kicks vs Swansea away? I agree with his corners though a player with so much ability should do better.

he did score 2 v Swansea, but think they were the last 2 that really troubled a keeper

edit: I know he hit the top of the bar v WBA, but really don't remember as many this season compared to the last 2

He also had a couple against Swansea at home that troubled Fabianski.
